Taskmaster - S14 E6 - Long-Legged Lobster.
Added 2025-03-19 13:00:17 +0000 UTCMy betting game has been really off this season! LOL! I am liking this cast so much... they are all growing on me with each passing episode... so much so, I don't have a favorite or a least favorite.... they are all fantastic!

Fun fact - did you know that the Dennis The Menace (UK) and Denace The Menace (US) comics were both first published on March 12th 1951 but have absolutely nothing to do with each other? (as I'm commenting a little while after release, John had a UK Dennis The Menace fan club thingy as his prize task entry)

2025-03-25 00:26:18 +0000 UTCDespite watching every episode of TM multiple times (US, UK, NZ and AU), I've been marathoning your videos since I subscribed and I've just caught up (from S01E01 to S14E06)! It made every episode feel fresh as it's like someone was there watching them with me! I love this season, but I can't wait for you to get to the next one (and eventually the hilarious AU and NZ seasons)! Are you going to watch the Junior Taskmaster series too? That was okay, but the kids were soooo annoying at times - they do the series differently too, having rotating kids each episode and the winners all compete in the final episode. Also, if you're ever looking for a short video to react to, I've pulled all the interviews for the seasons you've watched and put them in a playlist, here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSmmTaZGpM8oYyObkUB3SiDPY8yAIdLAN These interviews are very funny, they're basically an extra task where Alex is interviewing the contestants in a silly situation. They've done interviews from Series 10 up, but I've just put 10-14 in the playlist (so it doesn't spoil who's on later series'

2025-03-24 13:57:07 +0000 UTCFinally caught up on this last night also. Sarah aced the airport task - and the episode. Fern is so funny though. Nice to see the return of the pink pencil. Watching this and Father Ted, helped a lot just when I needed something positive. Thanks!

2025-03-21 23:42:59 +0000 UTCIdk! Is it a remake or a sequel or something else? I will assess when I have more info. Thanks for letting me know, though. 🤗

2025-03-20 22:51:07 +0000 UTCThis was a great episode 👏 were you more pleased with the TV arriving or finding your pink pencil?

2025-03-20 03:17:32 +0000 UTCThis series is pretty awesome. I wonder if you should check out John Kearnes as the dictionary corner guest on Cats does Countdown. I also wonder if you already have? I AM full of wonder today! There are worse things to be full of. Everyone give me a thumbs up if you think i'm full of S#!T. I'm going for the record! Anyhoo, he (john) plays a character on it (C.D.C), so might be interesting for you to see a different side of him. Or if you have seen it before (actually, i think he did a couple of shows), might be fun to watch again now you know more about him. As far as which season or episodes etc he's on... no idea. And honestly, i couldn't be f'ed looking it up. Someone more competent can sort all that out if they want. Well, thanks for another cracking good time. Catch you next time round! Toooooodles!

2025-03-20 03:07:44 +0000 UTCDon't worry, fella. I don't pay for it; the app is just there. If I want anything from it, I acquire it by other means. 😉

2025-03-20 02:56:09 +0000 UTCNOOOOOOO, Not AMAZON! Amazon sucks! I'm already disgusted with how many times i've written it here so far. THANKS STEVE! See what you've done! A friend of mine uses them a LOT but refers to them as The Nile when in my presence because he knows how extreme my distaste for them is. The fact that the new(ish) Fallout show was on 'The Nile' was a serious time of upheaval and distress in my life which required much soul searching and existential consideration. It was a rough few minutes. Incidentally, there is an online bookstore named The Nile.

2025-03-20 02:26:43 +0000 UTCI haven't gone swimming in 22 years, I wonder if I still remember how? I must find out (If this turns out to be my last ever comment, the answer was no 😁)

2025-03-19 20:44:14 +0000 UTCMy TV also has Amazon and YouTube, with special buttons on the remote to access them. Not that I'm bragging.

2025-03-19 20:13:12 +0000 UTCTalk more about your television, please. What brand is it? If I were to buy a television in the UK, it would come with BBC iPlayer and probably Netflix, ITVX maybe and other stuff depending on which companies have done deals with other companies. What things are on an Argentinian TV? I don't generally connect TVs to the internet, do you? Do you have cable, satellite or over the air broadcasts in Argentina? What will you be watching? Scheduled broadcast channels or just streaming? I am fascinated to know.

2025-03-19 19:56:28 +0000 UTCAt 33 minutes into this video I wasn't the only one skipping around their living room to make sure they could still do it, right? Right?!

2025-03-19 19:51:45 +0000 UTCSwimming, riding a bike, skipping and treading in dog feces are all things that we sometimes forget to do as we get older. It's nice to return to these things as an adult and experience that thrill again.

2025-03-19 18:25:11 +0000 UTCSee Mandy - Positivity ☺️ gets you a telly...and a cautionary poster in the employees lounge - "Beware the loopy Lady." 😂 I miss swimming. My and my sister used to go swimming everyday when we were younger. It was a nice feeling being physically fit....once. 😂 Never seen a turkey in the Post 🤪 I mean tbf: there is a local business round near us that delivers Christmas dinners to families who don't want to cook or can't really afford the full shu-bang. We don't really put as much fuss around the turkey as our American cousins. Usually a different meat each year. Lamb last year. 😋 Not sure about riding bikes but skipping I can deffo still do. My arse has suffered enough from biking to work. 1h each way. 😣 To do a 5h shift at McDonald's and then home again. Oof. I do miss being "sharp" when it came to maths and stuff. I can still do it but not as well as I could as a kid.

2025-03-19 18:04:55 +0000 UTC> I don't think that's spoiling too much. I see what you did there 😏

2025-03-19 17:50:50 +0000 UTCI noticed you used the term Daddy Long Legs in this video. I think this has different meanings in British and American English. In British English it is a spider like insect (or crane fly as an American would say) but in American English it is a father with long legs.

2025-03-19 17:20:19 +0000 UTCGood to see you have the broadcast version again. I miss the breaks when they are not there. Also, I haven't watched this yet, but I hope someone speaks at the end and lets us know what is coming up on Channel 4 later or on another day.

2025-03-19 17:09:59 +0000 UTCTurns out he is a gay homosexual. Nothing wrong with that.

2025-03-19 17:07:58 +0000 UTCI love all the tragic images of John throughout this, him with flour all over his face, him when he was supposed to be experiencing pleasure, him with paint dripping down his face 🤣

2025-03-19 15:39:57 +0000 UTCOh I agree they are both great. But just prefer the NZ one on this occasion. Did still very much enjoy the UK one too.

2025-03-19 15:28:16 +0000 UTCI’m sure you would love to get a Turkey in the post due to the supposed lack of availabilty where you live! Keyboards can get messy. Years ago my cousin asked me to fix his laptop and maggots started crawling out between the keys when I switched it on! 🤮 John Kearns might not have any regrets, but do you have any? 🤔 Episode should’ve been named, “Wait? What? What? Wait?” 🤣
(Just) Steve
2025-03-19 15:17:39 +0000 UTCWait what? What wait? Haha! I agree with you on this cast they’ve been a blast so far! John Kearns might be the funniest guy (unintentionally) that’s been on this show 🤣 Here’s a GIF you can totally hear https://jmp.sh/s/HMEoRxOxecfmkYA8Rnzn 😭

2025-03-19 14:55:55 +0000 UTCI think both iterations of the task are equally matched. One has two funny moments, the other has some unexpected catharsis. I don't think that's spoiling too much.

2025-03-19 14:28:55 +0000 UTCThe milk microwave task is another one borrowed from New Zealand taskmaster. It’s also one that I think worked better in the New Zealand show. Can’t say why though without spoilers
