Which is the dominant language? Also wondered for a while how did you manage to keep your American accent all those years? Because I knew a lad who moved to the US at about the same age that you moved, and when he came back 4 or 5 years later he sounded like an American. I'm assuming even the Argies who can speak English with you there must at least have a hispanic twang. Is it from TV or are you usin your posh phone voice on us? Thanks. Goodnite.

2025-02-22 21:30:29 +0000 UTCI don't think I commented this on the sectioning episode, but it is worryingly easy to get someone arrested under Section 136 of the mental health act. I got arrested on my 19th birthday sitting at home in the afternoon after my ex rang me and told me to kill myself, then rang the emergency services and told them she thought I was going to kill myself. Ambulance wouldn't take me because I'd done nothing, police asked me to step into the hallway of the block of flats, public access, arrested me and took me to the hospital to be assessed. They hadn't realised I was drunk until half way into my assessment, which can't be done when you're drunk, so I was held in the cells for 13 hours, then had to convince some doctor at 3am I didn't need to be sent to a psychiatric unit in Liverpool 130 miles away. That took over an hour. Only good thing is I got a lift home from the social worker. I've had better birthdays :)

Things like rent are generally paid each calendar month, not every four weeks ( to state what I assume is the same everywhere, but you never know: some places, I hear, don't even drink much tea; which, I had previously assumed, was fake-news). Good news: Cancer is not to be found north of Orion, but to the north-north-west is the Crab Nebula, if that is of any reassurance...
