Taskmaster - S14 E3 - Dafty In The Middle.
Added 2025-02-18 13:00:12 +0000 UTCSo many good moments so far and we are only 3 episodes in! This has been fantastic! And to think, after having done this for 15 previous seasons (2 CoC) and having some obvious dull tasks or even episodes, having such a booming 14th season is quite the merit! Well done to everyone involved!

2025-02-22 02:32:31 +0000 UTCHey, perhaps I should call you feisty after the number of times youβve told yourself to calm down. π May I suggest these bad boys? ( https://iili.io/39iDCMv.jpg Picture I found on the World Wild Web ) I use them and have just successfully filled them with bottled water to see if it would work. I find them much better than trays. Excellent stuff, Mandy. Thank you! π€π€

2025-02-21 04:57:15 +0000 UTCAck, your reply just woke me up from having the strangest of fever dreams. I was trapped in some weird kind of Aztec temple with hundreds of others and it was a series of escape rooms one after another it just went on and on. And I was right down to the last 10 or 20 people too when my phone bleeped and I woke in a cold sweat. (my own fault tho) And I know... I doesn't need a psychiatrist to help me to work that one out! π I tried to go back to sleep to finish it to see if I win but then I'd been asleep for ~14 glorious hours so no chance of that happening. I guess it all caught up with me I *really* needed it because when I try to sleep I end up staring at the ceiling lately. So yay for sleep I suppose. And no Cornish is just a plain vanilla like myself but strong unline myself. Made with clotted cream i think.

2025-02-21 02:10:46 +0000 UTCWouldn't it be easier to just buy a regular ice tray? That or only use it when you have shoes on π€

2025-02-21 01:41:53 +0000 UTCYep :) hehe. Sometimes I do full on vampire shift. Go to sleep when the sun comes up and awake through the night. I don't have a biological clock, more like a biological stopwatch.

Mandy Cane Lane
2025-02-21 01:25:07 +0000 UTCNot if you put the water in a bowl, submerge the ice cube tray, shake off the excess and then funnel the water back into the bottle. That's a lot of faffing though and ice cube trays are dirt cheap so just buy some new ones! I'd even buy you some if you had a P.O. Box, or whatever the equivalent is in Argentina.
(Just) Steve
2025-02-20 23:57:39 +0000 UTCOh sorry but I do remember you discussing your digestive problems recently something about eating spicy things that can "cause you inconvenience for up to three days after consumption" so I assumed this was an open and honest circle (and not a red one either β) ππ

2025-02-20 23:22:13 +0000 UTCHershey's is indeed quite bad. LOL to the dog biscuits! And I use store bought mineral water for the ice, so your submersion technique is expensive π¬

2025-02-19 20:39:05 +0000 UTC- While i've never tried American (or Argentinian) ice cream, I have tried American chocolate and sweets (candy) and they were beyond awful! The chocolate (Hersheys) was chalky and the sweets (candy) were full of artificial flavours and colours so tasted nothing like they should! - Dog biscuits aren't that bad. When I had a hamster I used to give him some and tried one myself. A pub I frequent also has dog biscuits available free for anyone bringing their four-legged friends along, so I occasionally take one for myself! lol - You've said you're a good cook but you don't know what BΓ©chamel Sauce is?! - For the ice cube tray, why not submerge it in water (instead of pouring it in) and then shake off the excess before putting it in the freezer?
(Just) Steve
2025-02-19 20:17:17 +0000 UTCTechnically true... but the task says to "catch something" and she didn't catch something. π€·ββοΈ Those ones are often the most low effort attempts too. Sorry, Jordan, but they will always irk me those ones. π€ I know the scoring is a fiddle anyway, I used to switch off before the final scores, so ultimately it doesn't really matter to me, but 4 points for that too is a piss take. Maybe 1 point at best for not doing nothing at all? But using CG / green screen etc and letting the production team do your task for you should be an automatic DQ. I know, I'd definitely be the most pedantic bitchy contestant if I was playing. π
Stanley Muggins
2025-02-19 19:19:48 +0000 UTCYou say that in a comment section of a video of an American living in Argentina reacting to a British tv show. Lol.

2025-02-19 15:05:56 +0000 UTCIf I could eat ice cream without the world falling out if me I'd say proper Italian gelato is king not that fake air filled shite they peddle to tourists in Venice and Rome, i bet you'd like stracciatella or bacio Mandy if you like chocolatey things
Remi
2025-02-19 12:17:31 +0000 UTCFavourite ice cream (if I can ever find it) is Rum and Raisin. Another great episode. Shouldn't it be an ice-round tray? If it's rounded, they can't be cubes. :) Well it seems John was destined to win one and not become another Judi. Well done to him. The sabotage one was just evil, haha. Well it's 4:30am now so..... I should think about sleep at some point.
Rusty Dog
2025-02-19 04:33:46 +0000 UTCDidn't hear it, just personal opinion. I know people hated on it for the way they ruined the format, but the guests and tasks were still fun. I found in the NZ one they were a bit dry for me, but might give it a second chance since everyone always seems to rate it on a par with the Aussie one. When has the scoring ever made sense too? π
Stanley Muggins
2025-02-19 02:59:06 +0000 UTCThat's pretty cool. I like south park but I've not watched any new episodes in years now
Josh Read
2025-02-18 23:40:46 +0000 UTCI saw that. Wasn't surprised with south park. I didn't realise till recently they actually did a concert to showcase all the songs from the series' gone by. https://youtu.be/aPzhJl6f00Q?si=auzl5mvRJZoMmGpO

2025-02-18 21:54:18 +0000 UTCNot sure where you heard that. US one was the worst. Lol. Season 2 of NZ is one of the best seasons. I will admit then Jeremy Wells (taskmaster) is not the best and his scoring is just bizarre. But look past that and itβs a great show.
Alex W
2025-02-18 21:47:03 +0000 UTCDoes the NZ one pick up? Controversial, but I thought the US one was better than the NZ one πjust the humour was better. The AUS one was smashing though from the ones I saw.

2025-02-18 21:40:47 +0000 UTCIf you think the human centipede was bad you should see the 2nd one it's the moat disgusting film I've ever seen. Also skip the 3rd one too

2025-02-18 21:12:52 +0000 UTCIt just hit me how much Sarah sounds like the old Vic and Bob Geordie characters when she gets high pitched. Cornish Ice cream (from Cornwall) is unique to Britain CGI is cheating. DQ. Thanks.

2025-02-18 21:00:51 +0000 UTCShoes! π Good for you, glad you to hear you're feeling good for looking good. π Someone's caffinated. π Mint Choc Chip is my favourite ice-cream. We've got the usual selection, with like oreo, fudge, caramel, raspberry ripple flavours etc. Please don't remind me of human centipede, that was a tragic Netflix gamble gone wrong π€’! Honestly, you think you had a sensitive stomach... On that tho: I swear I feel like the odd one out, I feel like I'm the only person in the world without any medical stuff going on. I do a little teaching at a local place (cant say much for safeguarding) and I swear 80% of the register names have the symbol saying they have some medical condition going on. 2025-02-18 18:09:44 +0000 UTCITALY is the king of ice cream/gelato without a doubt in my experience. It seems good ice cream goes hand in hand with the romance language countries π
matthew healy
2025-02-18 17:29:17 +0000 UTCI imagine you have good icecream in Argentina because of all the Italians who moved there? I know the Italians have good icecream. I'd say Europe as a whole has good quality of food in general, and the British Isles have good dairy products on account of all the rain making for good cattle grazing. I'd say British icecream can be very good, but is not necessarily better than say Italian or German.
Yoshua Simoleit
2025-02-18 17:26:53 +0000 UTCThat team task made John Kearns one of my favourite contestants ever! And what made it even better was Daraβs outburst βItβs actually kind of a relief, because at the time I thought he was an IDIOT!β Also Munyaβs line βdivide and congaβ could have easily been the episode title! And I equally loved how you managed to keep your composure during your ice tray rant haha! π€π€£

2025-02-18 17:22:39 +0000 UTChold the tray at a slight angle and slowly pour water into the top opening, allowing it to fill the rounded bottom evenly. Mandy being psychotic noooo never - Anastasiya
Ana and Shawn
2025-02-18 17:17:15 +0000 UTCFor my money Italy, France, Turkey, Japan, Belgium, Switzerland , and then Argentina have the best ice cream. I think British and American ice cream is mid tier ice cream. hope this helps. very fun episode and your craziness always adds to the fun. I have traveled quite a bit and tied many countries ice cream. Russian ice cream is also pretty good quality fyi. - Anastasiya

2025-02-18 16:12:42 +0000 UTCAre u sure thats an icecube tray? π I have seen those exact things marketed as a stressrelief/stimming thingymadjig π to you it seems the opposite No, but i mean as a fidget toy where you just pop the things . But maybe thats because its shit as an ice-tray so it got rebranded lol
Carl-Fredrik L
2025-02-18 15:55:39 +0000 UTCI never thought of uk sweets being overly sweet. Havent had much us candy. I think uk icecream is ok
Carl-Fredrik L
2025-02-18 15:33:36 +0000 UTCThe US has the UK beat with higher-end supermarket Ice-cream like Ben and Jerrys and Haagen Das, but in generic tubs in the supermarket, own brands or whatever, and farm-fresh stuff the UK takes it, just because its made with real stuff. The only traditional flavours the UK had that I didn't find in California were Raspberry Ripple, Toffee Fudge (what UK people mean by toffee and fudge), and Cornish/Devonshire Ice-cream. The Cornish stuff is traditional, made with clotted cream, its thicker and creamier, but the flavour never lives up to the hype for me.
Kirk Deighton
2025-02-18 15:28:33 +0000 UTCI don't think you were calm π€ you actually came across as being quite psychotic. I've never had a problem with rounded ice trays. It's a very simple process, I've no idea what you could possibly get wrong π
