Glad you mentioned it, because I’ve always felt that Blackadder’s wordy, poetic insults are individually hilarious, but when certain scenes feel like they make up most of his dialogue it loses its charm IMO. They leaned into this WAY more than S2 and S3 and that’s partly why I prefer those series with the exception of the finale.

I absolutely love Hugh Laurie as a comedic actor. I grew up watching him do comedy (as did many people, to be fair), so when he started doing House (I did not know about the Holmes connection so thanks for that!), I really just couldn't take it seriously, especially with the accent! I know that's a me problem and it was all probably very good, I just couldn't do it. I suppose it's a testament to his acting ability that Americans apparently found it all very convincing. But then, they are a gullible lot, so... present company excepted of course 😁 (thanks Baldrick). Also, those 'similes' that Bladder is always coming out with were always a favourite amongst my friends for quoting back in the day. The writers really stepped it up with those in this season. Glad you're enjoying it. Going back to season one after this is going to be super weird! Thanks Miss Mandy!🤗 And next time you clamp your pen between your nose and upper lip, as I have seen you do before, think of Baldrick/Charlie Chaplin.

Have you ever tried giving a watch or taking a poll to watch Misfits? It was actually brilliant and fun-fuckentastic! it was a cross over between youth offenders on community service with superpowers from a storm = great n funny acting/characters + epic scenes with really decent storylines! sorry, can't explain it or big it up anymore than that. most of it is filmed in that lakeside estate, you see in Clockwork Orange. So highly recommend it, and you will be the first : ) just think its a shame if overlooked

I loved the House M.D. series, kind of wish theyd not used such a predictable course of events every time but still, well written.
