Basically Greg keeps calling Chris a Geordie when he doesn't know what he's saying and he isn't a Geordie at all. A Geordie means you're from Newcastle and he isn't at all, he's closer to Sunderland (were im from) and we're called mackems. In football it's probably the biggest rivalry in England, It's the equivalent to Brazil and Argentina probably over your way ๐Ÿ˜…. You're welcome for the history lesson you didn't ask for but you got anyway ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ ps I'm sorry ๐Ÿ˜…

Joshyboiiiiii

I don't know what that means ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Mandy Cane Lane

Noooooooooooo chris isnt a Geordie ffs, if anything hes more mackem

Joshyboiiiiii

Scorpions - do we need 'em?

DriveIn

I think that outfit would look great on you

Carl-Fredrik L

๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahaha! There are whole countries between me and the Amazon! I feel pretty safe, but scorpions were a terrible discovery! Also this whole comment was brilliant ๐Ÿคฃ

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahaha! I still need to go shopping first! But thank you Carl ๐Ÿฉต

Mandy Cane Lane

Haha thatโ€™s crazy! I have a really freaky oneโ€ฆ. My best mate and my friend in workโ€™s boyfriend have never met but they have the same first name & surname, and they both have the turtle from Finding Nemo as their profile pic! What the hell?!! ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜‚

MarkCity10

Reminder for you Mandy to dress up in Zorro esque clothes for work. Reference at 46minutes

Carl-Fredrik L

Oh ya goose I'm just joking about the delayed link. ๐Ÿชฟ๐Ÿฅธ You think I could seriously ask you to pause? I'd be frickin lynched!! ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ˜…๐ŸŒธ

.

Oh I don't get it either ๐Ÿ˜‚

Joshyboiiiiii

You're welcome jeeeeeeez ๐Ÿ˜‚

Joshyboiiiiii

Um... the mirror would have been zero points from me. How can an alien show up in an interstellar spacecraft and somehow miss out on reflections in their technology tree?? We've had them (aside from puddles) for approx 8000 years?! ๐Ÿ‘ฝ Robot lawnmower would have been low points too.. why would that impress an alien Without googling.. ages ago.. on May Day.. in village festivals people would dance around the maypole. It was just a fun little village event.. and probably a celebration of spring and the coming summer months.. and a way for the young people to clap eyes on each other and go "PHWOAR SHE'S ALRIGHT" and form future unions. I guess it makes no sense down there as you'd be doing this in November or summut Diggin' Brigitte's fashion during the challenges. I agree Chris seems to be "playing the game" and just focusing his best on every challenge.. but I'm cheering for Sophie.. she's hilarious and unique in all the way she does The Things You live on the continent that hosts the biggest rainforest in the world.. so I'm not totally surprised if you find scorpions in the bath. I'm more surprised you don't have snakes coming out of your taps, tarantulas crawling across you in the night, fish trying to swim up your urine stream and jaguars messing with your bins ๐Ÿคฃ ..although I'd think there'd be not much wildlife up the Andes.. Fun episode! Cheers PS: I have never swiped or zoomed on hard copy.. sorry!

Wagoo

All will become clear eight and a half minutes into the next episode... of Blackadder.

Hypnobob

Hahaha, I will never undestand this "first" silliness, but you guys do you ๐Ÿฉต

Mandy Cane Lane

๐Ÿฅ‰๐Ÿค—

Mandy Cane Lane

What do you mean "sophisticated people AND Mandy"? ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Mandy Cane Lane

Ahhh! Iconic I am sure! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿปโœจ๏ธ

Mandy Cane Lane

"Rubie cubie" sounds so dang cute! I think I have plenty of outtakes to catch up on ๐Ÿคญ

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahahha! Poor Katherine! She is never living that down. ๐Ÿคฃ And you know? It only snowed once in the city of Buenos Aires in the last 80 years and I was sick that day so nobody woke me up and told me. It's been like 16 years and I am still mad I missed it ๐Ÿ˜ค

Mandy Cane Lane

It's an awsome little fact isn't it ๐Ÿค—

Josh Read

Haha! Isn't it weird when that happens? My bestie has the SAME profile as my first boyfriend and even after knowing my bestie for about 8 years, it still freaks me out ๐Ÿคฃ

Mandy Cane Lane

Lmao! I have been informed of Junior Taskmaster! Perhaps after I catch up to the current season, if ever? I am definitely interested! Just not sure on the 'when' ๐Ÿค—โœจ๏ธ

Mandy Cane Lane

Dang it Steve! I have been going full Karl a lot lately ๐Ÿคฃ

Mandy Cane Lane

Mandy has heard "happy as a dog with two tails" and applied the dog to fit my explanation. ๐Ÿ˜…

Mandy Cane Lane

Haha, sorry, the show must go on! โœจ๏ธ

Mandy Cane Lane

Very interesting choice! Is there anything special on said elbow? ๐Ÿค”

Mandy Cane Lane

HAHHAHA! Good one Jonathan! ๐Ÿคฃ

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahahhaa, I feel like I will fumble under pressure (like the not blinking thing) lol, but if I can remember, I will try to make that happen ๐Ÿคช

Mandy Cane Lane

I did not! That is amazing! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿปโœจ๏ธ

Mandy Cane Lane

I'll have to buy one and let you know. Did you know there are more possible combinations on a rubix cube than there are stars in the sky โœจ๏ธ

Josh Read

... which doesn't really work, because jam lasts for ages...

BobSandwiches

No, 'twas but a ludicrously obscure reference to an IT Crowd episode...

BobSandwiches

Youโ€™re always entertaining Mandy!! I do agree that it would be fun to see your brain at work, under pressure ๐Ÿ˜‚

AWR93

Ok so if a toad wont creep you out where do you draw the line, M? Is it the number of legs, does it help at all if it's cute? Could you hold a tarantula? (about the same size in your palm) What makes moths and insects worse? Is it their unpredictable movement, cause that's what bugs me out with spiders? Pun not intended cause we dont call them bugs.

.

Oh hello! Fancy seeing you here, Miss. ๐Ÿคญ MySteve, for me the lock and the door are two separate entities with their own states, so a door could be both open and have its lock "switched on" at the same time but it doesnt make the door locked. I see myself as having to push a button to activate the door in order to open it but that same button might also deactivate the lock to do so. At the same time there might be a completely differnt button to open the lock and open the door independently of each other. I wonder if thats a programmers logic thing ๐Ÿค”but I agree with Steve its not a definitive answer thing and can be totally perspective and the answer can change. Oh boy it's getting late isnt it๐Ÿ˜…

.

100% agree Bridget definitely has those mannerisms ๐Ÿ˜‚ just wanted to give you a heads up about Brand ๐Ÿ™

Jonathan Davies

Ah, so solving a ruby cubie is not like riding a bicycle? Interesting!

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahahhaa! I may not be great at some tasks, but I do feel I could be entertaining ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคช

Mandy Cane Lane

Noted, everybody hates him. But I feel that doesn't change the mannerisms I see similar in Bridget ๐Ÿคช

Mandy Cane Lane

Never doubted you for a second Mr 44

Mandy Cane Lane

Does that make it illegal? ๐Ÿง

Mandy Cane Lane

Hello! I would like to give my input. To me the function of a door is to close off one space from another. So the door closed would be the on function. Also if the door is locked it becomes extra on. On 2.0, if you will.

Mandy Cane Lane

Dang, I missed it! Happy late Men's day to you all ๐Ÿฉต

Mandy Cane Lane

Dang! I hope both our memories get better! ๐Ÿฉต Haha! And I am unaware of most of his actions, but they have nothing to do with the mannerisms I see resembled in her. ๐Ÿค—

Mandy Cane Lane

Hey! Uncalled for! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคช

Mandy Cane Lane

All very helpful! Thank you kindly Benji! And yes! I read about lavander and mint, gonna fill my place with that stuff. ๐Ÿคฃ I can't stinkin' wait for the freedom of living alone, or well, just with Kitana... but she doesn't judge and she likes to dance ๐Ÿคฃ

Mandy Cane Lane

Haha, I panicked because my camera roll is about 8000 blurry pictures of Kitana, and man is that cat not photogenic ๐Ÿคฃ

Mandy Cane Lane

Lmao! I don't even think meerkats are a thing in Argy ๐Ÿคฃ

Mandy Cane Lane

Sound reasoning with the aliens! Can't argue with any of it, lol. And I actually like mice! ๐Ÿคญ

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahaha! Dammit! I promised myself I would never go full Karl. ๐Ÿคฃ Not sure I could hold one or not. Toads shouldn't be any different. I think I would be afraid to hurt it.. not sure though ๐Ÿ˜…

Mandy Cane Lane

๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Hey Feisty, are you a Dad? Or do you just have the jokes? ๐Ÿ˜…

Mandy Cane Lane

And I'm clinging to the tired excuse like a shipwrecked pirate to floating driftwood. ๐Ÿ˜€

Kev

At least you had the tired excuse! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคช

Mandy Cane Lane

๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿฉต

Mandy Cane Lane

Oh yeah, and nope on the scorpions too. I'm freaking out if there is a spider bigger than my thumbnail! One good thing about the UK is that our wild animals wont try to kill us if it finds its way in to your house. So we've got that going for us, which is mice. ๐Ÿ˜œ

.

Former Taskmaster winner Richard Herring has done a lot to raise awareness of it. For many years he spent all of International Womemโ€™s Day answering every โ€œwhen is International Menโ€™s Day?!โ€ question on Twitter (and raising loads for charity in the process).

Podey Williams

Yeah, but are you though? Let's be totally clear, here!

Stevus

The impression of him that I was imagining you doing in my head sounded pretty accurate. Good on you! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜

Stevus

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’—๐’†

Oh, behave! *In my best Austin Powers impression which isn't very good* ๐Ÿป

.

RIP Dave. Sounds like he was stitched up.

.

Mandy no one has ever tried to pinch or swipe a piece of paper like a touchscreen. That would make that person an idiot and I certainly didn't do that with a clipboard this morning when I was very tired.

Kev

R.I.P. to my neighbour Dave, who told his wife he was just popping out for some sewing thread ๐Ÿงต but spent the entire day at the pub. Gone but not for cotton! ๐Ÿ˜

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’—๐’†

I'd show aliens this Patreon to show you all happy Mandy, so they can discover what joy is and wont eat us. They might then go spread it around the universe too. And if they still want to eat us after that - they'll eat you first - and It'll give me half a chance to run away!

.

What a brilliant episode. It was worth the wait. Thanks. I particularly liked when you went full Karl on us and had an argument with yourself over whether or not you'd hold a frog! ๐Ÿ˜€ Could you hold an ugly toad tho? I wonder if it's the visual of it that would put you off, or the size? Never done that with a piece of paper but sometimes do stupid things where my brain just gets in to the habit of doing something on auto-pilot mode, like putting sugar in a cup for a brew when I was gonna have juice. Its not odd, just the way we're wired I think.

.

Unless you're in China, in which case a cubicle is a room without a roof AND a door

TrickUpMySteve

I don't know much about this door business, but a room without a roof is just a cubicle. Classic room wannabe!

Stevus

No, it was the rest of the info that stunk like a 3 week old whale carcass stuffed with surstrรถmming in a... no, actually, that's probably sufficient.

Stevus

Why thankyou Sir Stanley! I consider myself to be somewhat international... not for any good reason, but you, Stanley, are very much international to me! So happy international men's day to you too!

Stevus

That's not very nice Mark. I'm only answering questions. Mean comments get removed.

Tony Mingoia

Alsoooo, you should totally watch this. Why?... what might Greg say?! https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxS2jJOZZ3Dz4sMTFS6BKQFZw5XrZqslY6?si=vFZ7RJaSbEZFpsRT

Stevus

Got a scorpion problem? You need a Meerkat! They're so cute, and they eat Scorpions! Either that or make Kitana start pulling her weight around the house. I'll bet she gets beat up by the MICE in Argentina! ๐Ÿคญ (jk, ๐Ÿซถ to Kitana... ok, fine, Mandy too).

Stevus

I genuinely thought you had a cool photo to show us but alas it was AI slop.

Connor Ellis

I so want to see Mandy go on this show. I'd pay money. ๐Ÿคฃ Maypoles, you weren't far off. The were used as part of the May-day celebrations dating back to pagen times. Villagers would dance and wrap ribbons around the pole to signify a unity of humans and nature and I believe this was a fertility ritual. They are found in the majority of English villages to this day. [Ec-static] is the word, darlin. I knew you'd find somewhere, so proud of you. ๐Ÿค— Bet you're looking forward to the days of rambling away to yourself, cooking dinner while dancing in your kitchen with no shame! I know I was. You will be stressed out cos you're about to move. Dont worry about it. ๐Ÿ˜ด Can't say I've ever tapped or tried to zoom in on my paper tho...๐Ÿคฃ My recommendations for single living: don't buy fresh veg until the day you need it. My Bread goes in the fridge. Don't need a toaster when I've got an air fryer. Buy stuff in bulk or make it from scratch. It's cheaper than buying ready meals etc. I bought a 3kg bag of pasta 10 months ago, it's still not through with yet. Tinned stuff lasts, as do eggs if in the fridge. I also use portable heaters and fans etc. My central heating stays off. It's cheaper to use a small space heater when I'm home than have the boiler on all the time. ๐Ÿ‘Œ Hawks and Owls are a predator of scorpions, as are wasps. Spiders and Scorpions hate strong lavender/mint scent as well.

Benjamin Taylor-Yates

Well she did actually think Chris was 56 soooo ๐Ÿคฃ

Joshyboiiiiii

๐Ÿ˜ฎ..... ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’—๐’†

Well look at who were watching ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ jk ๐Ÿ˜œ

Joshyboiiiiii

I don't know, I'm thick lol.

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’—๐’†

Whoa I think both work don't they ๐Ÿซฃ

Joshyboiiiiii

*Predictive. Hehe ๐Ÿ˜

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’—๐’†

So hypothetically if a closed door is "off", what about if you then lock that door, would it then be considered "on" since a locked doors main function differs from an unlocked door? From Google: "A door's essential and primary purpose is to provide security by controlling access to the doorway", which to me would be in a closed state

TrickUpMySteve

But not if it's ajar (sorry).

Hypnobob

Yep that's predicted text for ya ๐Ÿ˜‚

Joshyboiiiiii

I've hated Russell Brand since about 2004, it's just taken a lot of people to catch up. Even moreso now that he seems to think he's some sort of Jesus messiah when in fact he's just a twat.

(Just) Steve

But a door is only a door if it opens.

(Just) Steve

*Ardal

(Just) Steve

In order Ardal Bridget OWA BOY CHRIS!!!! Judi Sophie Hope this helps going forward

Joshyboiiiiii

As a fellow 31 year old, my short term memory is awful as well, haha. Can easily remember random stuff from a decade ago, but don't ask me anything about what I just watched or read :( Also, don't insult Bridget by comparing her to that garbage human being , she doesn't deserve that :( (He's involved in SA (I believe Katherine Ryan called him out without naming him due to eventual lawsuits) and then joined the right wing podcast morons to lay the blame on everyone but himself before converting to Christianity, despite always being really against it. It's really not about some prank call in case you didn't know. He's genuine trash)

DahDutcher

But wouldn't a closed door be essentially doing it's purpose, and therefore technically be on? I've seen arguments for both options and they both can be argued as correct to a degree. I just think it's one of those non-answer questions that depend on variables

TrickUpMySteve

It has been going since the 90s, Sir. This is from their website.. "International Menโ€™s Day celebrates worldwide the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. We highlight positive role models and raise awareness of menโ€™s well-being."

.

I never knew there was such a thing ๐Ÿค” how long has this been around? Any way happy international men's day to you .

Josh Read

Pleased to meet you, Peter.

Jeffrey44

While I patiently await my Mandy fix *chews nails* can I take the time to wish some of you a very happy International Men's day. I am merely a local man of course, but I know that some of you out there are. So for all the international men, cheers gents. ๐Ÿป

.

Consider it not On/Off but Active/Inactive. And assuming said door in its natural state would be closed, therefore it's inactive aka off.

.

Following on from your room without a roof being an incomplete room, it reminded me about an old logic question about doors, what would you consider the ON/OFF states of a door to be? So if a door was closed, would you consider that door to be ON or OFF?

TrickUpMySteve

Chris couldn't lick the jam because it was yesterdayโ€™s jam...

BobSandwiches

Interesting that Mandy (Cane Lane) used "happy as a dog without a head" as a further example of a ridiculous metaphor. I wonder if she had subconsciously heard the legitimate phrase "happy as a.dog with two dicks" and that's why her brain said what it said.

Jeffrey44

I told you Judi Love was a qualified social worker. I told you! I would never lie about something like that.

Jeffrey44

I totally get the Russell Brand way of speaking for Bridget but just keep you up to date we all hate Russell Brand now because itโ€™s Come to light he has MANY accusations of sexual assault and heโ€™s now conveniently become a right wing Trump disciple in order to run away and evade all the charges. Btw I used to be a MASSIVE Russell Brand fan and even saw him live twice! ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€

Jonathan Davies

Is โ€œMurrrโ€ this seriesโ€™ โ€œShidโ€? The fact that you scroll/zoom in on paper makes me think youโ€™d be perfect as a taskmaster contestant (we wonโ€™t talk about the time you attempted the โ€˜do not blinkโ€™ task) ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Also to take some advice from Mr Pilkington, โ€œI will not lick a frogs back, if it is going around killing a thousand menโ€ ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ˜‚

AWR93

I'd forgotten how good this series was ๐Ÿค— I used to be able to solve a rubix cube, but it's been years since I've touched one indont know if I still could. I can see a resemblance to Anna Kendrick there. I've never tried to zoom in on paper thinking it's a Phone but it sounds like something I would do ๐Ÿคฃ you would look awsome in your own Zorro, you will have to show us how it looks.

Josh Read

Right I've just watched the season finale of the previous season and I need to see Mandy down a glass of something like Desiree did, she talks a big game and we need proof โ˜บ๏ธ

Joshyboiiiiii

If you really wanted to freak an Alien out youโ€™d show it Karl Pilkington surely ๐Ÿ˜‚ imagine an Alien being unable to figure out that round fucking head! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Jonathan Davies

I'd show the aliens my elbow.

Hypnobob

Awwe when I asked if you could delay for me a lil bit this wasn't what I had in mind, Mandy ๐Ÿ˜ญ

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’—๐’†

I was thinking about the lyric: 'Because I'm happy, clap along if you feel like a room without a roof.' I wonder if he's referring to the idiom 'blow the roof off,' which means to give a great performance that makes the audience go wild with enthusiasmโ€”implying that he, or the person listening, is so happy they blow the roof off. Or maybe he was just trying to find a word that rhymed with 'truth.' Iโ€™m not sure. It's like the Def Leppard, the long jump, and the starting pistol situation all over again. If itโ€™s the former, please be careful, we don't want you wrecking your new place before youโ€™ve even moved in, but it is good that you are happy! ๐Ÿ˜ Thank you, Mandy. ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’—๐’†

Regrettably Jeffrey, my dear Sir, the majority of my professional clients, as well as my betrothed, are natives of our American colonies, and whose butchering of our fine language and backwards thinking hath raddled my mind like woodworm. Nevertheless, I shall henceforth endeavour to write in the manner of the Englishman I was born, when in this company of more sophisticated people, and Mandy. I thank you for bringing this rot to my attention. ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ

Tony Mingoia

Mandyyy! Are you gonna watch Junior Taskmaster? That could be a fun one to do maybe another day of the week. I think it's only gonna be 8 episodes so it wouldn't be a long commitment. It's airing at the moment, we've currently had 2 episodes. I was skeptical but the two episodes we've had so far have been really fun. Also I'm trying to keep my comments this season varied otherwise it will just be me simping for Sophie every week ๐Ÿ˜…

Ryan W.

Bridget looks so much like an ex I had a few years agoโ€ฆminus the Zorro costume ๐Ÿ˜‚ itโ€™s so weird to me! Ardal is so funny, canโ€™t wait for you to see him playing Dougal in Father Ted. One of the greatest characters ever ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿค— ๐Ÿ’™

MarkCity10

- Glad to hear the apartment hunt might finally be over! - I'd show aliens an episode of Taskmaster (probably featuring Katherine Parkinson) and tell them these are the smartest people on the planet. lol - On a random note, I woke up this morning to find a blanket of snow everywhere! Have you ever had snow in your part of Argentina?

(Just) Steve

Hi Tony, "center"? I think you mean "centre". "May 1st"? I think you mean "1st May". "June 21st"? I think you mean "21st June". Thanks, Your pal Jeffrey.

Jeffrey44

๐ŸŽ…

Jeffrey44

it's criminal that the full rubie cubie conversation was cut from the final edit but there is a lot more fun in the outtakes!

mcegan

Bridget is dressed like Lee Van Cleef's iconic character "Angel Eyes", aka "The Bad" from the legendary spaghetti western "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly".

Tony Mingoia

Yeah thanks

Joshyboiiiiii

Well done, Joshyboiiiiii. You must be very pleased by this victory over your peers. Are you? Are you very pleased? Are you very pleased by this victory? Over your peers? Are you?

Jeffrey44

Hi Mandy! Indeed, the Maypole is the center of a dance where people intertwine the ribbons. It is a European folk tradition, which may have its origins as far back as the iron age. No-one is quite sure. In many European countries, you can find ceremonies and celebrations involving the maypole, usually on May Day (May 1st) or sometimes the summer solstice (June 21st). Like many things, the tradition has died out in modern times, but there are still many villages in the UK and in Europe I'm sure, that still have a maypole and revere it's importance to the community and to tradition. You're much more likely to find this in a rural village than a large town or city.

Tony Mingoia
