When your said about the dwarves, they are 'one short', I thought that was hilarious and you made an intentional joke. Haha. :) In the examination room when the nurse asked Jerry to look at the screen and we saw his.. insides..., I was so hoping you'd say "Colon then, educate me." LOL "I've forgotten more than you'll ever know" - get it put on a t-shirt. Or you could have a notebook full of 'thoughts' so you can remember this stuff. Yes the knife schwing. I've noticed this. Here's some more... 1) car tyres in older movies (and maybe some new ones) screeching on gravel and grass when they pull away or brake. 2) modern cars in movies locking their brakes when screeching to a stop (no ABS??) 3) when a series of lights some on in a corridor, they never all come on at once. It's always one at a time and always with a kinda clickband sound as they do it. 4) all frogs in movies sound the same with that "ribbit, ribbit" sound. Yet most frogs make a growling sound and the species that make that 'ribbit' sound are ONLY found in the Hollywood area - so guess where the recording came from. Robot Wars was great when it was on TV here. The robot called Razor was a killer of other robots. Loved it! Great episode and loved the reaction and stories. Great stuff!

With regards to Jerry St Clair's joke that you missed. It went something like this... The butcher says "I've had to sack my assistant". The customer asks "Why?". The butcher responds "Because he kept putting his willy in the bacon slicer". "Oh" exclaims the customer, "What happened to the bacon slicer?". The butcher explains, "I've had to sack her as well". The humour (or humor as an American would say) comes from the audience's assumption that the bacon slicer is some kind of machine that a butcher might use but then finding out that the assumption was misplaced and it's actually a job role formerly held by a woman who it turns out was having sexual congress with the male butcher's assistant.

One of my favourite lines in this is when Brian shouts "Tell us a joke we know!". It perfectly illustrates the difference between alternative comedy and the traditional "working men's club" type of standup that The Phoenix's regulars are more accustomed to, where comedians toured the country for years or even decades with the same set of jokes. I'm not sure if Peter Kay is being ironic or not though, because he has always relied on a lot of recycled material for his own standup career. There are layers of irony I think.

The dwarfs weren't being let in because they were being loud and rowdy, also because of the football shirts if you wear a football shirt you're more likely to be turned away from clubs in the UK due to the mix of people being drunk and the various football rivalries we have so it could start fights.

The cliched movie trope that drives me mad is the turning on of strip lights in a warehouse sound...never in real life does a switch or light make so much implausible noise. Lovin' your work as usual.

I'm exactly same about learning random stuff. I sit up all night watching reels and stuff about random history, physics and biology stuff. Or I watch QI which is another trivia comedy show you probably have on your list. Little things like how maths allowed a man to predict to within 60 seconds when his wife would give birth. 😳
