Hiya Mandy, Everyoneโs explained the guns vs knives thing, but what in the actual fuck is the trend of owning a zombie knife - self defence against zombies? I mean, come on! Thereโs been a few killings with zombie knives in the news the last couple months. Bloody ridiculous. Lol, very odd sympathetic pain for Neil having caught himself in the can Mandy! Tell me, where did it hurt? ๐คฃ The "No Trainers" rule is common - Itโs just one of a few convenient ways to filter out the inevitable male dominant proportion of opportunistic clubbers. If the bouncer doesn't like the look of you, they'll use any number of reasons not to let you in. It makes for a better atmosphere when thereโs a balance of male and female in the club, and the bouncers are looking for males with money to spend, and who are dressing well to impress. Some mega clubs in the centre of London get a lot of passing trade. Thanks G

2024-04-06 21:36:53 +0000 UTCa somewhat interesting fact. the 'tramp' in this episode was quite a scoop for the second season. it was played by Peter Serafinowicz, an already famous and established comedian in his own right. If you watch the Alan Partridge series you will discover him as 'Tex' - a Liverpool Truck Driver with an obsession/adoration for all things American. A great stand up comedian in his own right. I loved him in a BBC sitcom from about 25 years ago called 'How do you want me' that only ran for 2 seasons (thats a british thing about quitting while you're ahead and always leave them wanting more instead of running the show into the ground for the next decade like US sitcoms do), in it he played the mischievous younger brother of a woman who was in a relationship with an Irishman that was an outsider living in this very upperclass wealthy rural English village and nobody would accept him. It was a brilliant show, his Sister in the show was the short haired girl from the movie 'Four Weddings and a funeral' , and she died very young in her 20's from illness. A big loss to UK comedy and the big screen. Her name was Charlotte Coleman. On the day in question (21st April 2009), the E4 schedule looked like this... 8:00 Friends (Double bill) Ross delivers devastating news to Rachel. 9:00 My Name is Earl 9:30 The Big Bang Theory 10:00 The Inbetweeners The pals go clubbing. 10:35 Star Stories Kate Moss. 11:05 Reno 911! Officer Wiegel tries to commit suicide. As you can see, it's The Inbetweeners that caused the following programmes including Reno 911! to be shown at a funny time by being in a 35 minute slot instead of a 30 or 60 minute slot. I suspect it's because it had more adverts than the other programmes that evening as it was the premiere and also the fact that it is a British show which are generally longer than American shows. In a 30 minute programme on a commercial channel (i.e. not a BBC channel) we would have one internal advert break but also have adverts between programmes too. We also tend to have 'End of part 1' and 'Part 2' slides before and after a break rather than going straight to adverts as we have broadcasting regulations that say the change between programme and paid content must be distinctive. You see the same in Taskmaster when LAH waves or holds his fingers up

You need a reason for a rifle(sport, pest control or hunting) and any responsible person can get a shotgun but the hoops you need to jump through mean most people wouldn't bother. Illegal firearms don't usually end up in the hands of petty criminals. Stabbings are not really common and nearly always criminals or gang members stabbing each other. The biggest thing to fear in London is how much money you might spend.

Luckily he still finds that line funny and doesn't mind it. It's funny that he is a nerdy, humble and quiet family guy who loves games, music and movies but is known for his role as sex pest teenager :D These days he is a vlogger with his wife and shows his mundane life to people on Youtube "At Home with The Buckleys". The difference is amazing to see.

So it's no more common than that, and I don't think Americans consider it particularly common do they? The reason we have very little gun crime is of course that gun ownership is very restricted, very rare and guns not readily available. So the most common form of violent crime with a weapon involves a knife. All that being the case, the homicide rate overall is โ that of the US and ยผ that of Argentina. Will greatly exaggerates the dangers of London because of his nervous, sheltered character. London is actually a pretty safe city. The fact that it is horrendously expensive was the only concern to me at that age. ๐
