The Inbetweeners - S2 E3

Oh my... the french guy.... LOL. It is now 3.17 a.m., I am exhausted and can barely remember this episode... BUT I remember a french guy and a party. And that I laughed, several times. So that is good enough for me! I have decided to go to bed. but before I do.... I wish you all a delightful Friday!

Hiya Mandy, Yeah, in the last episode we saw how much effort you put into not reacting to some frankly crude moments. 😁 😢 Red door consistency across series πŸ‘ if you asked someone. β€œWould you like to get in the front seat?”, would you consider it rude if all they said was β€œNo”? In some languages / cultures, that’s perfectly fine. I was wondering if some of the curtness translates acceptably into Argentine interactions, or whether you’d think it was a bit rude too πŸ€” If Will hadn’t explained it adequately, Coq au vin is aΒ FrenchΒ dish ofΒ chickenΒ braisedΒ withΒ wine,Β lardons,Β mushrooms, and optionallyΒ garlic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coq_au_vin Uhhh, on being an asshole, particularly to siblings? You’ve got buttons, he knows where they are, he’s been pressing them all his life with unchecked disregard to how it affects you, a small pleasure, a habit from before we emotionally developed into adults with empathy and a full appreciation of the consequences, maybe he still believes it’s all harmless fun… still. He will empathise if you tell him how you feel, like you’ve done. Coach him a little πŸ˜€ Then there’s a different concept of β€œThe Other”, when we treat someone or a group as fundamentally not like β€œus” and don’t afford them the same regard, respect or empathy, in a dangerous way we don't treat them as "human". This sense of β€œotherness” can be based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or any other distinguishing feature. eg: Do we get a free pass making fun of Neil just because he’s dumb To Jay, girls and women are β€œthe other”, defined in relation to him, rather than as independent beings. I suppose assholeness can manifest in relation to β€œthe other” πŸ˜€ Or maybe one just gets a kick out of making other people’s lives hell - pure asshole-edness πŸ˜† Thanks Mandy G

The main thing that keeps me watching these is that i can see overall, Mandy doesn't like this show.... and i completely understand her reasons for not liking it. It's a completely different culture and its the most extreme ladish side of it. being a Brit, I know women Mandy's age that paraphrase the lines from this show as heritage/homage to its comedy, but ive only every watched male Americans enjoy this show, not in the same way as us Brits, but mostly in awe of its audacity and how its acceptable in the UK (would probably get banned in 2024 in the UK tbf, but then what comedy from the past wouldnt?), when to us, there is nothing audacious about it. I honestly think that it can only be of parity comedy value to women that are brought up in this culture and era. I cant wait for Mandy to watch that first movie. OMG, she's gonna cringe like nothing on earth, while we all whale in laughter!

Paul Elsby

🀣😝 I know it has Willow in it. That one time at band camp....

π‘π’†π’Šπ’”π’•π’š 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆

🀣🀣🀣 what was the point in that then ya tatey

Joshyboiiiiii

Oh cool, I don't really know. I've never watched it.

π‘π’†π’Šπ’”π’•π’š 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆

Everyone. Unless it's a quiz or I state it's just hers then anyone can answer

Joshyboiiiiii

Is this question open to anyone or just Mandy?

π‘π’†π’Šπ’”π’•π’š 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆

Not a bad episode. But cringy again but funnier towards the end. Hope you're having a lovely evening. There's a few more comments on the previous Inbetweeners episode and the IT crowd episode I think you've missed. Don't worry about your hair, it's naturally permy so I don't think anyone will notice your new horn. Much love.

Benjamin Taylor-Yates

Random question of the day. Favourite how I met your mother episode and moment

Joshyboiiiiii

Wow that is young. Still lots of women like the grey haired gents apparently. I've got lots of greys in my stubble now.

Josh Read

I got my first grey hair when I was 12. Not even in high school yet. Clearly had a very stressful childhood.πŸ˜…

With a lighter. Was an accident πŸ˜• luckily no harm done just a few scraggly bits she wasn't hurt at all. Also would you be unhappy even if it sorted your curly uncontrollable peice of hair out?? Oh I am only joking about zoning out when you were talking.

Josh Read

He's not trying hard enough then πŸ™‚

Josh Read

HAHAHAHHA! Noted Alan! 🀣

Mandy Cane Lane

Oh... I never heard that before... thank you Tee Tee! And I will continue thrpugh to completion, worry not! πŸ€—βœ¨οΈ

Mandy Cane Lane

Jajaja! Te adoro Milenko!

Mandy Cane Lane

Also, anyone that gets even CLOSE to my haor with scissors will NOT be called a hero 😠

Mandy Cane Lane

Lmao! Fair enough Josh but HOW THE HELL DID YOU SET A GIRLS HAIR ON FIRE??

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahaha nah, you are fine... for now!

Mandy Cane Lane

He can be funny sometimes πŸ˜…

Mandy Cane Lane

OHHHH! Thank you Cem! πŸ₯°

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahahhaa! I have never gone far enough as to threaten him πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Mandy Cane Lane

100% on purpose Remi 😎🀭

Mandy Cane Lane

Honestly, the humidity issues don't come across on camera. At least not until you point them out!!

Alan

Good reaction Mandy πŸ‘ I hope you can make it all the way through and do the movies, after getting to know the characters well the movies kind of give some closure to whole thing. BTW Frog is British slang for a French person, so when he referred to Patrice as a baguette eating frog that's what it meant.

Tee Tee

that cat looks awesome with the tash

Josh Read

I was thinking same. I'm just starting to get the odd grey but still thick and luscious as always 😝

Josh Read

Mine was blonde until I was about 6, then it turned brown. My hair was weird though, I had a mass amount of grey hair by the time I was 25. It actually shocked a hairdresser, I had to dye it πŸ˜…. Then by 30 it was adios.

π‘π’†π’Šπ’”π’•π’š 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆

I had very long hair when I was a toddler used to.be blonde too. I kept getting mistaken for a girl πŸ˜…

Josh Read

When I had long hair it used to curl into ringlets, it drove me insane. Especially when people called me Goldie Locks πŸ˜ πŸ˜‚

π‘π’†π’Šπ’”π’•π’š 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆

Say what you want about Argentina, they have bloody good skywriters.

π‘π’†π’Šπ’”π’•π’š 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆

I've just had flash backs to setting an ex girlfriend's hair on fire πŸ”₯ 😱😱😱

Josh Read

Exactly. Sneak up behind with some clippers and solve the problem. We would be regarded as heroes πŸ˜‡

Josh Read

No it didn't bother me but all I kept thinking was how easy it would be to solve with a pair of scissors and a quick snip. 😊 Cut that whole piece right off.

Tee Tee

I've been told there's nothing wrong with that

Josh Read

I don't, I just get jealous πŸ˜’πŸ˜…

..............

Does anyone else zone out when a woman starts talking about her hair? I gave up trying to get through the intro after restarting 3 times πŸ˜–πŸ€€πŸ˜΄ 🀣🀣🀣 though I will say Mandy your hair does look beautiful πŸ™‚

Josh Read

I better stop teasing Squeaks I mean Mandy, or I will get a talking to πŸ˜‚. No, fair play, at least he understood. This was another great reaction, thank you.πŸ€—πŸ€—

π‘π’†π’Šπ’”π’•π’š 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆

🀣🀣🀣 to sisters everywhere we only do these things because we love you πŸ€—

Josh Read

The stuff Jay comes out with kills me! πŸ˜‚ Loving these reactions! Thanks Mandy have a great weekend! πŸ€—

MarkCity10

33:50 he says 'you can beat me at Pro Evo if you like' - it is a football game

Cem

Haha, the last wind up I did to my sister was last weekend. I went to a car wash with her, all the lads that work there are Polish. I told her the Polish word for thank you was kalashnikov (Russian AK assault rifle) When paying she handed over the money, looked him in the eye, and said "There you go, kalashnikov" I was pissing my sides.🀣

π‘π’†π’Šπ’”π’•π’š 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆

We older brothers do love to wind up our little sisters. I bet he felt bad after you spoke to him. My sister threatened me with a knife once for "being the worst brother in the world and a complete prick" 🀣

Perfect timing Mandy i just sat down looking for something to watch and i get a patreon notification
