Taskmaster is broadcast by Channel 4 who did not make such a pledge. Channel 4 also produces Eight out of Ten Cats Does Countdown - and that showโs inherited two female presenters from the original Countdown anyway - so itโll always have representation. I'd she is a friend though think hard as if things don't work out you would have lost a friend. Girlfriends/boyfriends come and go but Friends are forever. Another thing to think about is that it might not be a serious breakup, they could get back together in a week or so.

The task where it was difficult if you read the tasks in the wrong order was brilliant! I hope they do more of those, even it was only a season finale last task. Ed's chickpea relationship and Rose's funeral were genius! Both went the extra mile on that one and definitely both deserved 5pts. You helped me get through a particularly bad end to the day of which I'm still recovering slowly today. Thank you for that and just for being you. Awesome.

How can I laugh at the antics of Little Alex Horne when a hungry homeless person is sitting outside my front door and a disabled child is unable to get to school because Boris Johnson choose to fund a new series of Taskmaster instead of social housing and school transport? Maybe I could appreciate it if the first task was "Solve financial and social inequality. You have 20 years. Your time starts at the next general election" but (spoiler) it wasn't.

The BBC has a quota for panel shows they stick to very firmly, and since the BBC has the lion's share of panel shows in the UK that quota very much entrenched female comedians in that landscape; that may be what you've been told about. I'm not sure Taskmaster would have qualified for it; as a competition it probably had to keep to rules of competitive fairness over a quota. Anyway, next season they move to Channel 4, so that becomes irrelevent.

2024-03-19 14:53:00 +0000 UTCBut I didn't mention that the trophy was on The Taskmaster's left (right for us) rather than his right (left for us) as it was pre-Channel 4. I don't remember any COVID-19 restrictions meaning you had to sit to the left of a trophy. I certainly didn't sit anywhere near a trophy during that time and neither did anyone I know. I just wore a mask.

2024-03-19 14:20:09 +0000 UTCThese is a quota to make shows more representative of the country but it's not a law, there would be no reason for them to fudge numbers. The next series is a bit weird, covid hit during filming and social distances added and the tasks weren't designed for it and had to be altered so it's a bit rough, series 11 was covid times too but it wasn't part way through production so is done better. Both still good though obviously, it's taskmaster.

They are quite long hotdogs, I think they used Dachshunds. https://ibb.co/w6PCGFy OK, just got to the end of the episode and realised the show's theme is long thin things, as in long thin hotdogs on the socks. ๐ Brilliant season, and well done on guessing the winner. You may not appreciate it when watching it in the way you do but up until now it's been made by the production company Avalon and each episode was first shown on the television channel (or station as an American would say) called Dave. From Series 10 (or Season 10 as an American would say) it is still made by Avalon but shown on Channel 4 (home of The IT Crowd). Despite Dave being 100% owned by the BBC, Channel 4 is actually a bigger channel (or station as an American would say) so they are in a position to demand that Avalon makes changes to the Taskmaster format. Here are the changes they made (and why they are bad)... No audience (so it's impossible for me to know when to laugh). The Taskmaster and Little Alex Horne don't sit next to each other anymore (so they can't grope or kiss) Legally, Channel 4 aren't allowed to show as many adverts as Dave so the episodes have to be about 2 minutes longer (this makes the episodes too long and boring) The contestants don't sit in a straight line, they sit in a semi-circle (this is basically fine). At the very end, you don't get that UKTV bit with the old fashioned camera and Polaroid photos of random people that you never watch anyway (this is also fine).
