Also, the Camelot singing scene , a line was "we like to eat Spam a lot " , the movie was actually turned into a highly successful and critically acclaimed musical titled "Spamalot". Theres been numerous stars in the versions over the years including Tim Curry as Arthur and Warwick Davis as Patsy (Arthur's horse)

That weird art style is classic Terry Gilliam, he makes very strange fantasy/tech noir sci fi stuff. Terry Gilliam in this movie was the kings horse coconut guy π
. He has directed other movies such as Time Bandits, 12 Monkeys, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas and Brazil. The latter 2 I don't think you'd like at all, very weird. All weird in their own way

OMG! I love that they did this ending because the one they wanted was too expensive! That is hilarious!

This was brill!! Watching you waiting with the music at the end cracked me right up XD I always love the part with the holy hand grenade because i played alot of Worms as a kid and its a staple weapon you can use in the games... Years later i found out this is where it's from! Monty Python 'and now for something completely different' has always been my fav Python film, its more a collection of sketches though so it might work in bits n pieces. Anyway fantastic reaction!!

I love this!! i think, after seeing this. Im thinking you are primed to watch The Mighty Boosh (if you can find it) with Noel Fielding. A very surreal show. But fantastically funny.
And this whole movie makes me think of The surprising adventures of Sir Digby Chicken Ceasar

I dont know if anyone has told u already , but the black knight is played by John Cleese.
The monks hitting themselves with boards are Flagellants, They hit themselves as a form of pence to ease the wrath of God that brought the plague ("bring out your dead!!!). Perhaps you knew that already thou :)

Haha! Thank you so very much Terje!! You are too kind! π«Άπ»ππ€ I am always open to suggestions, I just get so many all the time it takes me along time to get to some of them, and when I do my list got a lot longer. Haha. And I am actually more impressed by this movie if drugs weren't involved π

OMG!! Lmao to the amputee thing and well, just all of it! π€£π€£π€£ Was the Grail a metaphor for the love and friendship they found along the way? Lol

So glad you did this one! Monty Python are an eccentric bunch. I don't think there was drugs involved, just a crackpot sense of humour that was quite clever in many places.
One of my favourite scenes is the one with the Prince in the tower. "One day lad, all this will be yours". "What the curtains?" and the whole "Stay here and make sure he doesn't leave". I love it. Haha.
And the scenes with the French knights :)
As for the Black Knight, it was John Cleese's voice so I'd have to say it was him in the suit.
I knew that ending was coming and was waiting to see your reaction to it. :)
Just know that if you decide to watch 'The Meaning of Life' Monty Python movie, there is a scene in it, which will make you very uncomfortable, where there's a man in a restaurant. So just beware.
Thanks for doing this and providing some excellent evening viewing.
You are rocking it!!

Hey My Lady (in the spirit of this movie). I don't ask for things because I think you get a lot of good suggestions already, and I love almost everything you post. But the thought of you reacting to this had crossed my mind actually. So I'm very happy that you did! This was fun!
I hadn't watched this movie before either, apart for a few scenes like the black knight and I had also seen the frenchman on top of the castle walls before.
I also got a "aha!" moment when the guy got the arrow in his chest, and said "Message for you sir".. That was a clip I remember some used a long time ago to tell them they had new email :) Never knew where it was from.
I'm not sure what part I enjoyed the most, but both the start with you reading the strange credits with subtiles then wondering if you should stop/restart recording (you absolutely made the right choice btw), and waiting for the end to.. well.. not be the end, comes high on the list!! I mostly enjoy Monty Python humor, but the animations/effects can get a bit too much sometimes. But I actually don't think drugs were involved. I think this is just how the minds of these gents work(ed). But don't quote me on that..
I really appreciate your work Mandy. I get happy and excited just from the YT and Patreon notifications :) I hope you keep doing it for as long as there is British comedy to react to! :) (no pressure.. haha!)

Nice one Miss Mandy. Yes, it is what it is. GLORIOUS! I get the disappointment with the ending because you were regarding it as a movie in which storyline/beginning-middle-end, etc is generally important. But it was their first 'movie' and is actually just a series of skits or sketches(which is what they were famous for from Flying Circus), that are strung together through a loose narrative, in this case pretty much just medieval themed with typical wacky bizarreness, and with no traditional conclusion. I'm glad you could still laugh at the ending anyway.
The Life of Brian was their second film and they were more happy with it in that regard because, as you said(clever little minx that you are), it does have a bit π€ more of an ending. But it's also pretty much just sketches still. Their third one, The Meaning of Life, is even more random than Holy Grail and I don't think they even attempt a narrative with that one(been a while though), it just broadly explores life - birth to death.
It was a shame you missed the llamas in the credits when you couldn't watch because of the flashing.
The Black Knight was played by John Cleese, but when he was down to only one leg, they used another actor who was an amputee because they thought he would be better at hoppingπ. Pretty sure I've forgotten something but I'll sign out by just saying... "BRING OUT YER DEAD... furniture and appliances. BRING OUT YER DEAD...".
