Her name is Ami Yamato, a sometimes confusing but always charming YouTuber (and a fellow creator here on Patreon). She lives in London, likes coffee and cool movies. And she was kind enough to collaborate with me in demonstrating another landmark VFX technique from the Back to the Future trilogy.
The process of making this video was quite challenging because of all the vintage motion control equipment involved, but it was also... a whole lot of fun.

Heck, I remember being uber proud of myself managing to do it on Windows Movie Maker when I was 12! Such a sense of wonder!😅 So great that you collaborated with Ami, I love her so hard! Hope you two work together (along with other YouTubers) in the future! 🙂

I hope you two get even more notice, because honestly you both do such pristine work on your projects it's hard to believe sometimes. Thanks for giving me a greater appreciation for older films and how extreme they had to be to even make them. Your enthusiasm is contagious for sure!

Both parts of this have been really educational, and a real love letter to the movies, the pioneers who created the effects and their place in cinema history. I'd read about the SFX used in the BTTF films but to see it explained so clearly, and in such an entertaining way is a real treat. Huge kudos to you and Ami for making this.
