Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown - Scotland (Unedited Reaction)

In the middle of planning a trip to the UK/Ireland this summer (which has a chance of being split between UK & Ireland at different parts of 2024 for those keeping up with those details) I (Spencer) am starting to get a hunger for world travel & have become enamored with multiple travel YouTubers & TikTokers as well as Anthony Bourdain. His ability to connect with people around the world via food, a natural curiosity, and a gratefulness of being alive after a rough early part of his life fascinate me and I was able to convince Daniel to react to an episode of his show "PARTS UNKNOWN" and we thought we'd start with Scotland as the UK is still our primary audience.

I'm really hoping this is something y'all will allow us to pursue in terms of the Friday slot: Episodes of Anthony Bourdain shows, Gordon Ramsay's Travels, Guy Martin's Travels, and Travel Man with Richard Ayoade are all show's we're considering for the Friday slot, and likely on a rotating basis as opposed to what we do with TV show i.e. do all episodes at once.

This is also the catalyst to putting effort into a spin-off channel, Embrace The Globe 21, where we tackle content that is NOT UK/Ireland based. We already have plenty of Australian, German, and Eurovison content to repost over there to get the gears turning and doing Travel Content reactions would probably live over there if it goes well over on ETS21 next month and over here currently.

I really enjoyed this, more please.

He is a legend! My background is in Hospitality, for 15 years I worked in hotels, always on the Food and Beverage side of things, ending up in management roles. I did the basic chef qualifications as part of my training at Polytech, and while I never worked as a chef I was always fascinated by the process of good cooking. (Most senior Chefs in my experience are absolutely bonkers. I am honestly surprised that more of them don't go the way of Ralph Fiennes in "The Menu". In anticipation of ETG21 I am going to start suggesting the various international versions of "Taskmaster". In less than 20 years it has become one of the most popular game show formats in the world. I am going to suggest the Norwegian version ("Kongen Befaler" or "The King Commands". Norway has a small population and the first couple of seasons include some repeat guests, including the lads from Ylvis ("What does the fox say?") I am also going to recommend the New Zealand version as the closest in spirit to the UK original and even the later Australian version, (only a couple of seasons so far, filmed in NZ in the same house as the NZ version.) There is even an American version, complete with little Alex Horne. (This is tragically bad, only watch if you are happy for your eyes to bleed. It only lasted one season.) Good luck with project!
