2024-02-12 11:13:31 +0000 UTCYou literally commentated 2 days ago saying you would stop watching? Why are you so weird? Honestly jump of a bridge
2023-12-12 19:52:52 +0000 UTCKing boomer is way worse
2023-12-11 14:32:04 +0000 UTCYou mention you'd listen to a radio show or podcast of something like this. He's actually been doing a podcast in the character of Alan for a couple of years. Called 'from the oasthouse' on audible. Really enjoy the reactions 👍

2023-12-10 02:32:03 +0000 UTChe's personally ruined this pateron for me , does exactly what you said in every scene in every single reaction ever.... horrendous. there's a dam good reason every single reaction pateron doesn't do this , kills the natural flow of the show/film and then what you said at times doesn't even let the scene play out... if you want to say something just say it , then give your proper thoughts and the end!!! we don't need a breakdown of every scene and how "its a sign of the times" or "cancelable" or "euuughhh" as he favorite phrase's are. as i said a few days ago if Daniel was in control of the mouse this pateron would increase tenfold for me. then there's his low iq views on almost everything xD wish Daniel had his own pateron :( he's the reason i still stick around to be honest. call me a hater or whatever spencer , sometimes people wont talk the truth , i do though 😂 at the end of the day you both owe me nothing and I'm the one choosing to watch , its just a shame , that's all. still peace and good vibes to the both of you! regardless of what I've just said even if i may come across as someone who's just needlessly being mean , I'm really not. it is what it is. sorry Tonia , this reply kinda turned into a rant for them lol , peace. 🕊️

2023-12-09 22:28:58 +0000 UTCOh also, the writers of Alan Partridge did some really interesting DVD commentary extra material on this show (I'm sure you can get it on the YouTubes these days). In this episode Steve Coogan talks about that dead cow scene, and about how he was trying to keep in character, while also being absolutely terrified that at any second a full size prosthetic cow was about to be dropped on his head! They also had a separate DVD commentary but where Steve Coogan and Felicity Montagu (who plays Lynn), stay totally in character while reviewing & commenting on the series. Coogan's commitment and dedication to Alan Partridge is insane!

2023-12-08 19:17:48 +0000 UTCAll of the episodes are based on bad wordplays of a famous novel/film which are somewhat related to the theme of the episode (almost as if Alan himself came up with them himself). So far we've had A Room With an Alan (A Room With a View), Alan Attraction (not sure, maybe Fatal Attraction?), and Watership Alan (Watership Down). Oh and back in the 90's Top Gear was a very different programme, it was basically a very straightforward and serious review of new car models, with a monthly magazine associated with it. I don't think Jeremy Clarkson was even on it back then.

2023-12-08 19:07:21 +0000 UTCA detail you might have missed - the guy from the farmers' union that Alan debated live on air was played by Chris Morris, who played Denholm in the IT Crowd. He also directed Four Lions, which you reacted to a while back!

2023-12-08 15:34:07 +0000 UTCI thought it was a low key episode, then came that radio interview. And the cow. I'm glad the comedy is paced, as I don't think I have the stamina to laugh like that all the way through.

2023-12-08 15:17:47 +0000 UTCim surprised they can recognise anyone due to the quality of the vid

2023-12-08 14:27:54 +0000 UTCSimon Pegg also did a Comic Relief special with Alan where he played a former Milkybar Kid - could be worth a watch on here too (personally you watching all Partridge gets my vote, there’s so much of it). He was also part of Steve Coogan’s stand up tour ‘The Man Who Thinks He’s It’ where he plays loads of his characters including Alan

2023-12-08 13:56:02 +0000 UTCYou're stopping the video too often Spencer and right in the middle of sentences. At least wait until the scene is over.

2023-12-08 12:54:45 +0000 UTCDid you notice that the farmer being interviewed was Denholm Reynholm from the IT Crowd?

2023-12-08 12:47:41 +0000 UTCThere is an Alan Partridge podcast, it’s called From The Oasthouse. There have also been three books ‘by’ Alan Partridge and you can get audio books of them all. Well worth checking out.

2023-12-08 12:31:33 +0000 UTCAlan is completely graceless and doesn't have the self awareness to recognise it, that's his genius.
