The It Crowd - S4E6 - Reynholm v Reynholm (ETS21 Reacts)
Added 2023-11-17 11:00:06 +0000 UTCGuess you could say Douglas lived out Jay & Neil from The Inbetweeners fantasy...for two weeks!
Side note: I'm currently editing S4E3 (The Speech) for YouTube, that mirroring technique totally didn't work unfortunately :(

Heston Blumenthal has had a few tv shows and he's probably most famous for his show 'Heston Blumenthal: In Search of Perfection' where he tries to make what he considers the best version of certain well known recipes, including Hamburgers! You'd enjoy it Spencer.

2023-11-18 13:22:44 +0000 UTCYou've also seen Douglas's wife/Will's mum earlier in the series as the same actress Belinda Stewart-Wilson also played Denholm's wife, so she was also Douglas's mum or step-mum.

2023-11-18 13:11:24 +0000 UTCAlso Heston Blumenthal's restaurant is called The Fat Duck, hence The Flappy Duck in the show, you should go when you're over here Spencer, I think it's only about £300 for the taster menu. There's also a really good 'Making of...' show called 'Manual'.

2023-11-17 22:53:40 +0000 UTCIt’s not milk, it’s a ‘White Russian’ as they’re called.

2023-11-17 20:23:49 +0000 UTCA squib is a small explosive or ignition device...so damp 1 doesn't work

2023-11-17 18:44:17 +0000 UTCI agree, this was one of the weaker episodes but it still had 2 or 3 laugh out loud moments... If I remember, the last one is great, it certainly has some very memorable moments that stick in the mind.

2023-11-17 17:34:53 +0000 UTCThe good news is that the special is a double episode. 48 minutes, baby.

2023-11-17 15:29:03 +0000 UTCThe restaurant stuff was based on a chef called Heston Blumenthal who was very popular at the time for making weird and wacky food, like willy wonka type stuff. He made things like an edible shrubbery where the soil was chocolate crumble and the plants were mousse, or drinks that were like a 5 course meal and changed flavour as you drank. Worth watching some of his show "Hestons Feasts" if you get a chance.

2023-11-17 14:03:20 +0000 UTCThats not an accurate portrayal of pre proceedings or the court case, guys! i even found flaws in Suits lol. i don't think you got some of the references, but anyway, Heston Bloomintal is a british chef who specializes in weird creations and also had the voted best restaurant in the world, hence the eating scenes... And don't worry, the special episode is amazing!!!

2023-11-17 14:01:55 +0000 UTCA damp squib was a very popular sating in the past maybe not so much now meaning a disappointment or a letdown.
