My first Festa was 3 years ago, so I have a very complicated relationship with it. I get excited but I also end up having a good dose of anxiety as well (that’s the year they announced the “hiatus”). They gave us a basic outline of the schedule after the news report posted, BUT there are always surprises. Sometimes it’s dance practices from the vault or past concerts streamed for free. This year they announced that it will be Music Videos on the 10th, solo MVs on the 11th, and the Muster in Busan on the 12th (a fan concert that has some other stuff in it and usually isn’t free). All are at 8PM KST and will be on Weverse. It’s a fun way for everyone to be watching the same thing at the same time. There’s usually some kind of Festa dinner where they all gather and talk. Obviously there hasn’t been for the last two years. BigHit and/or Hybe has started putting up banners and installations in Seoul that say ⟭⟬E ARE B⟬⟭CK (the symbols are the signs for BTS and ARMY). It’s even plastered on the side of the Hybe building. Someone described it as half celebration (for BTS and ARMY) and half a menace (to the industry). For it to be both is absolute perfection and delightfully petty. The fact that they didn’t even have to say BTS speaks volumes.
