2025-05-01 03:26:08 +0000 UTCLove your excitement for Bollywood and that SRK is also your favorite Bollywood actor, Alanna :) Should have known, we turn out to be quite similar in these things :D Little note, the festival you're thinking of is Dilwali (spelled with an "i") the festival of light, Dilwale (with an "e") like the movie title this song is from, means sth like "brave-hearted". Dilwale is probably not Shah Rukh and Kajol's best movie, but it's highly entertaining and has soooo many call-backs to their previous movies together because they're like one of THE Bollywood pairings of their generation. Also, it's a more of an action movie, Rohit Shetty, the director is know for his car scenes. In this one he rips off/ pays homage to a couple well known scenes from American films. The love story of course is still quite Hallmark xD The video was shot in Iceland, poor actors were freezing a lot during the shoot, especially Kajol in her thin saris, in the scene on the ice you can actually see her lips shivering when watching closely. I watched the behind the scenes to this soooo many times xD One thing with Bollywood tho, yes most films are definitely kind of musicals, but not all, the ones that re not, are definitely less known outside the East Asian community, I think. Also, the actors don't have to have a good voice, those songs are always recorded by real singers, the actors just lip sinc, but they should be able to dance in one way or the other :)
