A great (and sane!) reaction! It's awesome to have you back! This band was huge locally, but for reasons that are beyond me, they never made it to the huge international popularity as other great Chicago bands like Styx, Chicago, (or even Cheap Trick, form nearby Rockford, Illinois). The Led Zeppelin comparison I think was mostly fueled by Eric Warner's hair (identical to Robert Plant's) and voice, but yes, there are definite strong Sabbath influences (and maybe even a touch of Scorpions) in the songs and guitar sound, so you weren't wrong about that.
