You can use the patch to upgrade any version beginning with 0.6.11a1 to version 0.6.12r1, just make sure to get the right flavour (hi-res/compressed).
To use the patch, place the .exe file into the game’s root folder and launch it.

Great update. You can see something out of the corner of your eye, but I'm not sure that you can hear something out of the corner of your ear. Ears don't work like that.
