You can use the patch to upgrade any version beginning with 0.6.7a1 to version 0.6.8a1, just make sure to get the right flavour (hi-res/compressed).
To use the patch, place the .exe file into the game’s root folder and launch it.
Walkthrough:
Naomi's events are very straightforward. Find her in the kitchen in the morning, have a chat. In the evening, go visit her ship. Talk to her in the evening when she's sitting in the doorway. Next night (or you can delay this) visit her ship again. Next day she'll be by the pool, go and talk to her. And that's it for now.
Xmas event, more hidden items, and possibly a lore dump concerning Naomi are coming in Beta/EA.

Could you please try using a different browser or the Mega Desktop App? The links work fine for me, and I still have plenty of shared traffic available.
