The "hormonal idiot" part is some unreliable narrator stuff. The MC knew who he was spilling secrets to. I'm with you though, I want to like this game because its got some excellent quality and its very ambitious, but there's a few things in it that give me trouble. I'll be keeping an eye on its development.

The MC suspected that he was getting played and *purposely* played the fool, in order for her to fall for HIS trap and make her retrieve a video camera that HE prepared to be a listening device so HE could listen in to her private conversations. The double acting of that train scene was actually great and I perceived that very positively. The part about the blackmailing may not be everyone's cup of tea; however, it should also be noted that he isn't too cruel with it (for my taste). For example, there is the red-head nun who is still a virgin and the game will only force you to touch her body for a bit in order to intimidate her; it doesn't make you have actual sex with her. You certainly need to be into manipulation if you want to enjoy this game; but you don't need to be cruel. I personally didn't have any problems to move ahead with the investigation because I usually had a suspicion what solution the dev had in mind (maybe I am a bit devious myself?). I mean the game is literally called "Deviant Anomalies" and Moolah calls his patrons "deviants". ;-D

2022-04-27 07:17:50 +0000 UTCPart of it for me was that it was really hard to tell that was what I had to do to progress. It's framed as a "good cop/bad cop" scenario which to me sounded like the usual "cop that tries to befriend the suspect" or "cop who aggressively threatens the suspect", not honest cop vs corrupt cop. I had no idea why I couldn't get anywhere with the investigation. There's also the fact that it's required whether you're going down the love route or the slave route. It just doesn't seem compatible with trusting and respecting the women who join you. Then there's the total 180 shift between being able to turn the woman in the bar into your panting sex slave with naught but brains and wordplay, to spilling every detail of your investigation to the random hottie on the train just to impress her while leering at her cleavage like some incel moron (and who she turns out to be was just utterly transparent and predictable). I almost stopped playing right there. I literally quit the game and walked away. That scene was so painfully dumb it took me five or six times to finish it.

The ends justifying the means. It's not for everyone, but I enjoy it exactly because it isn't a vanilla adult game.

2022-04-26 21:00:58 +0000 UTCMan, I so wanted to like this game. I was even on Moolah's Patreon for a while. The opening premise is interesting, the art is good, and the game started off well. But it's inconsistent as all hell. You bounce around from being a brilliant manipulator to being such a hormonal idiot you'll spill everything just to glance at a pretty woman's cleavage. Plus, as near as I can tell, there's no way to truly progress in the game unless you're willing to go down the corrupt cop route, blackmailing and perving on potentially innocent women suspects. If you're into that kind of fantasy then have at it, but it was not my cup of tea.
