Another status update

EDIT: Oh, and I'm really sorry, it somehow slipped my mind when I was writing the draft. I want to thank all you folks for your comments and well wishes. It's really appreciated, and I'm immensely grateful for your support and understanding.
I’m afraid there’s not much progress with the game development yet, so nothing really to report there. I have two event drafts from the writer waiting for my notes, and a couple of event ideas just floating around at the moment. I should have my work PC back up hopefully next week, but I’m not that sure about that just yet.
So yeah, about my general situation right now. My partner and I landed in Cyprus last week. There’s a sizable exodus of Russians happening, and quite a few of us ended up here. So the rental options are dwindling, the prices are going up everywhere, and the waiting times for everything that requires compliance, that is, opening bank accounts, getting residency permits, etc, are going way up as well. We are trying to navigate all this, but it seems I was a bit too optimistic earlier. Hopefully we’ll be able to at least sort out rent and bank accounts before the end of the month, and then I’ll have a bit of breathing room. I’ll get back to working as soon as I can, but so far my days have been filled with research and conversations about all the stuff we need to do to stay here.
I hope I’ll have more positive news for you next week, and maybe even something to show.

idgaf about the game :) I will support you regardless of it because you've been great and honest through all the process. If there is another revenue place we can use in the meantime to support you while this is going down. Feel free to mention it.

If you haven't been able to get to the funding from Pateron and have an alternate I'll switch my donation to the alt until the dust settles down and returns to normal if that is possible. I do have one question concerning the game did we ever find out what happen to Naomie's shipmates? Well wish you and yours the best.

I can't speak for all your Patreons, although from what I've seen I can guess most feel the same, but I'm not stopping my contributions, updates or no, especially while your going through this and I hope they are all enough to help you come through happy and healthy. Imperfect people from imperfect worlds, all of whom might have been dead or worse if they hadn't found this shelter. Now every one of them is trying to find a new purpose, bettering themselves and each other as they try to move forward with this new lease on life. All of them trying to move past their differences as they learn to coexist in this strange new world in uncharted territory. It's a story about cooperation and empathy, seeking peace and overcoming conflict between people of radically different backgrounds, cultures, even species. Through it all, there's the underlying question of how to impact the greater world around us and how to find meaning in life while limited to a miniscule sphere of existence cut off from the outside world. These themes and ideas carry powerful weight in time of COVID, and they remain deeply relevant through the unfolding Russia/Ukraine war. I sincerely hope you come out the other side of this healthy and happy, and with wonderful new ideas for the game.
