0.5 Development Update 23

Hey, folks!

We’re preparing the Beta release of the Bunny Lounge with a number of fixes, small changes and improvements. It should be available right in time for your Saturday night.

Then we’re moving on to the next update. Cait’s next story arc will start with the release of v0.5.7 in June. You’ll get to see some new locales, meet new characters, and learn a fair bit of the world’s lore.

The environment work took much more time than I anticipated, but what we have looks quite good, and it’ll look even better after another revision or two. I should have some in-engine previews for you for the next development update. Other than that, it’s just writing and posing now.

I will be leaving for a vacation in the second part of June. I don’t have the exact dates yet, we’re still waiting for the confirmations and stuff, what with all the travel restrictions, but it shouldn’t change too much. The other artist will continue the work while I’m away, so there will be an update in July, but there is a chance Cait’s story arc won’t be finished by then.

I have yet another plan on how to increase the pace of development, and once I get at least a bit of rest, I’ll start on it. We’ll decide on some important features of the game this Summer, the most important being, are we having another girl in the main cast or not. I’ll talk more about it a bit later, when it’s time to decide. There are pros and cons, and I’ll do my best to provide a comprehensive overview.

The main plot should pick up this Autumn, and at the same time Rae’s, Naomi’s and Yona’s stories should get going as well. I’m a bit hesitant to plan this far ahead, but this is what I’m aiming for.
