0.5 Development Update 3

Yona just is a bit too damn niche to be introduced without issue, I think. A game with any form of sex involved will be subject to a lot of strong emotion and even stronger preferences. I can only speak for me, but when I saw the Yona model being introduced I had just reached the end of current content and despite a new set of content was introduced in perfect time I stopped playing the game. It didn't appeal to me, but that's not really what made the game lose it's drawing power, it was the entire "okay, so next there's gonna be tentacles too I guess" factor of introducing a non-human (Rae looks human, so her demonic origin isn't really the same thing as a green goddamn giantess with tusks) in a game with no real leanings towars all that outer area sort of stuff.

I don't mind Yona as is. If you change her, however, she is kinda like a second Naomi do to her physique. Maybe make her more curvy and buxom kinda like Rae, only with actual boobs. :p

On one hand, Yona doesn't interest me much on the surface level. Orc girls have never been my thing, and that's cool, probably not going to interact much with her on the lewd side of things. Rae's perfect in most ways imaginable so. :P I think the other thing is that most of these people will naturally assume Yona as the new focus of content being added, because, well, she's new. She's her own character and is going to need more attention than other old favourites, for instance. As a result, some people's favourites are going to get a lot less attention for at least the next few updates, and for that to be the foreseeable future I imagine would probably be too much for people to subscribe to if it's such a polarizing turn off for those people. I'm rather neutral on it but I can see why people might want to unsubscribe for a while and maybe come back later. But I am looking forward to seeing how she changes things up story-wise!

The whole POINT of a harem game is that you get a bunch of different types of girls into the mix so everybody gets stuff they want. We have 3 tiny girl archetypes and Naomi is the only big girl, people can get over having one girl they don't like out of 5. If it makes you feel better, I subbed specifically BECAUSE I wanted to see Yona, and my only disappointment with her thus far is that I can't walk in on her in the shower yet lol

It seems to be a recurring thing among supporters that they somewhow manage to convince themselves that their artistic vision is for no good reason more important than that of the actual artist, and they get butthurt over actual integrity and the weirdest, tiniest digressions from their own (utterly unimportant) vision. This cancel culture phenomenon seems very common among creators who manage to grow their fanbase to a certain size, so consider it an achievement, if nothing else.

Honestly for the most part she follows those tropes all but one atleast and appears to have another quality im not gona say becuase it could just be me be reading into things a bit to much. But if it ends up being there could lead to a pretty good story

Haven't played the update, but I generally don't like Orc heroine archetype (Green skin, fang, direct, simple-minded, cast out due to mating tradition, etc., I don't know how much this one will follow the troupe outside of obvious appearance). Funny that this happened since I kinda resigned to *reluctantly* give her a try since they seemed weirdly popular for some reason That being said, introducing new heroine while the last two is still waiting for actual sex scene is a real problem imo.
