They can def sleep in regular beds like Louis and Armand do in Dubai, but I think the lore is that when they ‘sleep’ they are dead dead (like when Louis burned down the theater in Paris) and so they ‘feel’ the pull of a coffin if they have one? Even if they are in a bed they want to be in a coffin. In the books it’s described as a physical feeling.

While he was right, I think he was suuuuper manipulative with his wisdom. Like you mentioned, why not act like more of a mentor vs keeping important stuff from him like, idk, don't go out in the sun!!?? LMAO! Anywho, question, what is the lore around needing to sleep in coffins?? Like, just sleep in the bed which yall grown asses. I thought it was funny in those moments that they'd share a coffin 😂. Oooh and also, I would literally play certain scenes back several times just to see the expressions that man (Daddy Louis loool) would make or how he would utter certain words in that accent. Whoooooh!! 😍 This series was a good time! loll
