Belethor's Dilemma

Hey everyone,

Wanna run some things through you.

So my latest set was going well up until like 3 days ago, then it just went down the toilet. From the get go, this set has been tricky mainly due to the lighting as I've never gotten it right. It's resulted in a lot more extra work with each render to get it to look good and not subpar my standards.

However, that all changed when I added in Powergirl a few days ago. From here onwards the set has just been getting away from me where I'm getting more and more stressed working on it. I'm at the point where I'm just miserable.

I'm around 74 images in to the set at the moment so I've made good progress over the past week. I guess it's a case of do I want to commit more time to fixing this set. I'm at the crossroads at the moment where I need to pick an option before I waste even more time.

As I see it, I've got three avanues to go down.

1 - Carry on with the set in it's current state.

• This would be my least likely option as the set in it's current state is just meh in my opinion. The images themselves are technically fine. But nothing more - certainly below my personal standard.

2 - Scrap the set and move on to a new project

• In the past I would do this as I usually realise a set needs major fixes early on. I'm reluctant to go down this route as I hate leaving a project unfinished and I feel bad as I'm screwing over you guys with it.

3 - Cut out the Powergirl option and go back a few days

• This is the option that I think I'm going to take. Delete the last 22 images and turn the set into just one between Harley and King Shark. Then spend the next few days and weekend continuing with the set from there. It might end up being a shorter project overall, but one that would be better quality.

Looking at my options I think the third is the best way to go. It means that I don't need to scrap the entire thing and lose over a week of time. I can just go back a few days and restart the set in a way as it was only really after around the 45 image mark did the set start to get too frustrating.

What I'll do it I'll upload the 20 or so images that will be getting removed to the teaser folder so that they're not entirelly wasted.

Sorry for the negative rant, but I believe in always being transparant with members. When things go well, I'll share it with ya'll and the same applies when it all goes tits up.
