Added 2025-09-26 10:24:50 +0000 UTCthe timelapse for this one is funny because I kept changing which direction he was looking at so he just keeps lookin' around...
I was initially a little worried about working his cool colors with the very warm background but I think the contrast of his hair turned out really nice! if anyone's curious, to get his initial local colors to look like they fit in the scene, I put a beige multiply layer on top (you can see it around 1:34) to put a warm shadow over him, did most of the lighting, and then added a dark brown screen layer on top of that to brighten and warm the darkest colors.
the reference for the background was this pic from unsplash (a tiny part of it, by the trunk of the biggest tree)
