I held up a hand after about five minutes of walking down the steps to the dungeons. Honestly, who needed a fucking prison this deep under a castle? This was just fucking superfluous. Still, the one good thing was that it gave me plenty of time to scout as we went, and my aura sight had just caught a series of powerful fluctuations coming from deeper into the dungeons.
"Hold up." Everyone froze as I glared down at the dark pit still yawning into the earth beneath us. "There's enemies ahead. Four of them. One is a god, one is some kind of cyborg, one of them seems to be some version of whatever the hell cosmic force Wally is connected to and the last one...I got nothing. I've seen a ton of auras, but that one is weird. The best way I can describe it is...willful maybe?"
Whatever it was, it was strong. They were all strong. Because of fucking course they'd keep the really strong ones here. I was also almost positive they were all some version of Batman, because Barbatos just had to use his stupid gimmick. I didn't know why the hell this guy was so nuts about Batman, but it was getting real fucking tiring.
Still, we were almost to the bottom, and according to Namine, Kairi should be close. I assumed she and Riku were being kept together, because otherwise we'd have to search the whole damn castle for him and I refused to entertain the idea of being put through that level of irritation unless it actually happened.
I was trying to figure out how to approach the problem when a streak of dark red blurred up the steps so fast even I didn't catch it until it was too late. The form solidified into a man in a bat costume with a red lightning bolt on his chest as he smashed his hand forward to try to pulp the head of my girlfriend.
There was an intense fluctuation as his fist landed, and an image of a crude doll superimposed itself over top of my sorceress, shattering almost immediately. The voo-dont doll activating saved Zee, and at the same time dissipated the force of the blow. Fast or not, he was caught off guard, and I called my keyblade as I pumped demonic energy into my armor to increase my speed to the maximum. As I did, Zee calmly sent a haste spell through the bond as I unleashed a lunging thrust at the stunned bat imitator with every ounce of skill and muscle control I had in me.
He dove out of the way, the teeth of my keyblade opening the line of his shoulder just below the throat as he plummeted into the spiral abyss. I saw his feet find purchase on the wall and he ran along the wall in a spiral, following the descent to escape. Sadly for him, I wasn't willing to let that happen. I spread my wings, diving into the shaft and accelerating with every ounce of power at my disposal, combining the speed of a ghost, a devil, the haste, spell, and my armor along with a powerful gravity spell I slapped on to increase my momentum.
I came down like the fist of an angry God, my keyblade leading like the lance of an avenging angel, and with my reflexes calculating the trajectory of that moving blur was more than feasible, but I was stopped from hitting him at the last second by a heavy metallic form smashing into me at high speed.
It wasn't enough to actually harm me, but the cyborg was strong enough to move my line of impact JUST enough for me to miss the speedster. There was a catastrophic boom as I hit the ground, though I left less of a crater than expected. This place was sturdier than I thought. I crawled out of the small crater in annoyance, glaring over at the cyborg. Who looked like Batman...obviously.
That was all I had time to do before the blade of a massive sword swung at my head from what would have been a dead angle for anyone but me. I reacted with the instinctive practice of long drilled swordsmanship and slammed my own blade into it with a pivot, deflecting the sword and following up with a blurring storm of dark metal slashes, the teeth of my keyblade saw already whirring to life before they reached the enemy.
The god that had attacked me, because he was a god, looked less like Batman than a warrior with a Bat theme, though he had the same aura as the others at the core. Still, he was a brilliant swordsman, and his huge dark blade flicked out to pick apart every opening in the flurry of blows I'd sent out.
A good blade master knows when to commit though, and the ability to turn reality into Deception and vice verse makes for a powerful combat style as I literally altered reality with my powers to unmake gaps in my defenses. His eyes widened behind the bat eyed helmet and I pressed the attack gleefully. I was more more careful this time, though I used more than a few feints to leave openings he could exploit, not that he ever did.
Above my head green light flashed and noise rained down, but I trusted my team to handle themselves while I took this guy down. The cyborg and speedster had both gone, presumably up to attack with whatever was causing the glow, and the war god wasnt my match in raw combat, especially not in my current state. It was shocking he could even keep up with my speed, given that I was almost as fast as the speedster, but the thick rippling of the space around us told me he was warping the flow of time to compensate and STILL wasnt fast enough to match me.
I wasn't stupid enough to let myself get distracted fully though, so when the speedster doubled back I made my move. I'd been holding back against the Organization idiots, but I was officially in a hurry and with both the wielders here I didn't need to conserve anything much. Plus I was concealed, so opening my Domain was an easy call.
In reality, I'd been planning to do this since I entered the dungeon, but I'd been waiting for the right time, and as I felt the speedster rush back into my field of perception, I slammed my Domain down around me. Conjuring an illusion right where he was going to be, I deflected the war gods latest blow and then, in the heartbeat after the speedster passed through the illusion and confirmed it was false, and the war god stumbled back, I switched places with it.
I spun on my heel, using every ounce of Myrina's instant strike technique combined with the principles of the Doom Fist to drive my fucking keyblade right through the back of that speedy fuck and out his chest. I spun around with the bastard still spitted on my blade, hurling his body at the war god as I phased through the dying speedster, and using my enhanced speed swept down and around like a striking cobra as the war god batted the body aside.
The opening from the surprise attack wouldn't have been enough, except I swapped back into my original place, now behind his back and dropped a fucking supercharged Gravity spell right on the two of their heads grinding them both into the much denser than usual flooring. Just to make sure they were dead I drew my Mortal Gun and double tapped them both in the head, then I kicked them into a shadow portal that would drop them into that random office we'd camped in last time.
Sora and the others were good kids, and I doubted they would have been ok seeing the corpses, but that speedster had tried to fucking splatter my girl. Some things I didn't tolerate, and trying to kill my loved ones topped the list. The war gods aura had been drenched in blood too, so he wasn't some goody-goody, and I had no compunctions about finishing off what were basically walking avatars of hate and destruction. It still took a minute for me to center myself though, that had been colder than I usually liked to be.
I would have taken longer, but the noise from up the steps was getting louder, and I didn't want my friends getting hurt. I shot up the shaft at top speed, wings and speed enhancements carrying me absurdly quickly. I reoriented myself as I flew to attack the green glow as I came up over the side, and smashed headfirst into a fucking hard light shield, though to be fair, the thing cracked pretty bad under my assault, and the weird, snorkel hear wearing green lantern batman turned on me with anger, letting up the pressure on Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Drea, and Namine.
Roxas was dual wielding against the cyborg batman, with Sora and Rana both pincering to keep him off balance, but even with Zee providing magic support the asshole was a big problem. He was WAY stronger than Corbin, as evidenced by his ability to stop that crazy gravity bomb attack I'd done earlier. I decided the robot was a secondary threat though, and brought my chainsaw spinning keyblade down on the cracked green shield, beginning to tear into the light construct.
Through the cracks, I manifested an illusion behind the bat lantern, swapping places with it and donkey punching him in the back of the skull with my off hand. The force field around his body was much weaker than the one I hit and my fist tore through it, but I'd focused on speed and not power, so it mitigated enough of the force that his head didn't explode.
Even so, he staggered forward, feet hitting the ground lightly as he stumbled toward the edge of the steps. I considered killing him, but the others were watching, so I just ripped off his power ring, even if I might have taken a finger with it. Then I created a set of restraints from abyssal alloy and threw him into the wall.
Turning to deal with the cyborg, I found him already subdued. The full might of my entire team was too much for the batman themed machine to handle, and he was currently bound up in a prison of light magic, with brightly glowing sigila around his hands and neck like stockades, all set into one larger glowing ritual circle. "You guys good?" I asked casually.
Several of them nodded and I grinned. "Lets get going then." My power had prevented anyone from noticing the fight, but it had redoubled the pain in my head. Even with my now much stronger resilience using my ability in such a crazy way wasn't fun. We bolted down the steps, only taking a minute or two to finally reach the bottom. The place was so dim and the stone so dark that the bloodstains in the crater I left weren't easily visible.
When we finally made it to the cells, I saw a pair of teens slumped against the metal. Sora's eyes went wide with joy and worry. The kid flicked his keyblade and managed to pop both doors open with the power in a move I would need years to be able to replicate, then bolted to the redhead while Mickey went to get the silver haired boy. They looked a lot like the two kids they'd been in the picture, but older. As we began casting healing spells on them I was glad to see the injuries were superficial. Now all we needed to do was get the hell out of dodge, and it would finally be time to finish this.
