Greed God chapter 200

Surprisingly, Nightwing DID have a lead for finding vampires in Gotham. I was pretty shocked, but apparently Gotham had played host to bloodsuckers before, and the league's resident almost-chad had dealt with them before. Meeting him downtown at a pub with a REALLY obvious name was a decent enough lead. Stopping outside I, I stepped up next to Nightwing and just stared in wry disbelief at the building.
"You've got to be kidding me." I couldn't help but roll my eyes at how obvious the place was. Not even just the name either, the whole front was covered with velvet drapes to block the sun and every possible surface was black. "Please tell me it wasn't like this before the merge? Because if you tell me you frequented a place like this I'm going to lose all respect for you." Which, granted, wasn't saying much, anyone who let pussy like Zee go because he could get Barbie to keep her inner bitch in line deserved pity at best.
He smirked wryly. "I...uh. Met a girl here. Tanya. She's actually the one we're here to see. She's an older vampire, lots of ins with the big boys. She used to be one of Dracula's personal retinue, until she got bored of the drama and moved to Gotham." At my incredulous look he just snickered. "Right? How much drama can Dracula cause that he makes GOTHAM look sane?"
Giving him a conspiratorial nod, I said. "I'm guessing she's a pro at sucking more than blood?" Pansy ass or not, Nightwing didn't strike me as the kind to go all forbidden love on some undead bitch. He had plenty of bad qualities, but being an edgy goth nerd wasn't one of them.
Clearing his throat, he looked away. "I don't usually talk about that kind of stuff but...well, lets just say not having to breathe and not having a gag reflex are a fantastic combination of traits." I snorted at that and decided maybe I could respect this guy just a bit. Not like he was a threat to me anyway. I'd thoroughly broken all my girls. After a deliberation I held out a fist for him to bump and he chuckled and rapped his knuckles against mine.
Interested to see some of these vamp chicks, I followed him to the door, which was a pull and not a push, as well as set lower into the street in an alley down some stairs. He rapped on it a few times, and someone opened a window in the steel, looked us over, then closed it. There was the sound of like, thirty locks flipping, and then was stepped back as the door pushed open. The man in the doorway waved us inside, and we followed him in.
He didn't speak, just led us to the edge of wise open floor. They'd removed the first level, so while I could see the windows with the curtains, they were at the top of a much larger room than expected. Following Nightwing along the line of the room, we left the other guy behind and headed to a back corner. A woman with long brown hair and fat creamy tits exposed by a deep necked black gown sipped blood from a gold chalice as she watched the dance floor, where goths who were just normal humans danced with actual vampires.
When we arrived, she smirked up at Nightwing. "If it isn't my favorite birdy. And you brought a friend this time. You hoping momma will help you two have some quality bonding time?" The pale and admittedly sexy woman licked her lips as she scanned me over hungrily.
Nightwing cleared his throat. "Tanya. So good to see you. Sadly no, we're here for business not for pleasure." He sounded unbothered by the offer of a threeway, but also uninterested, which was good, because I didn't cross swords. More power to guys that liked to double stuff, but if I wanted to do that I'd just learn a cloning spell or something. "Mind if we sit down?"
The pout on the older woman's face (I'd have put her mid thirties when she was turned) was alluring, but she wasn't my type. Too...try-hard for me. "Boring. Oh fine, sit, sit. I'll summon the serving maid to bring you something to drink." She glanced over at a dark haired girl who was walking by, snapping her fingers. "You, mortal. Attend me." She said imperiously. I saw Nightwing wince at that, but he let it go. It was a true statement at least.
The girl, a pale, pretty little thing with dark eyeshadow and red streaks in her hair, scurried up. She had long legs wrapped in black leather pants and a midriff baring corset with long unattached sleeves that bared her shoulders. Her green eyes were wide with enthusiasm as she hurried over. "Yes miss Tanya?" She said hopefully. "Is there something I can help you with?"
Tanya waved a hand at us. "My guests require mortal sustenance. Your kind have your own menu here. Fetch them whatever they wish, I'll pay for it." She glanced over the girl casually. "Actually, you look rather tasty. Are you on the menu dear one?" She turned to grin at Nightwing. "If sharing a man isn't to your taste darling, perhaps we could share this tasty treat?" The girl blushed, and stuttered out a denial about being on the menu. I found her cute enough to try a quick appraisal.
[Appraisal function activated. Treasure detected. Sally McKnight- G rank wiccan. The daughter of a pharmacist from a small new england town, Sally was the leader of an all girl punk band that came to new york to make it big. Losing her friends to the lure of drugs and minor celebrity, Sally found herself drawn to vampirism. She possesses a sizable latent talent for witchcraft inherited from a powerful ancestor who specialized in white magic.]
I looked at her in a whole new light. Now wasn't that interesting. "Say." I said smoothly, smiling at her under my mask. I usually kept the mouth retracted since I'd learned to do so, as it made eating easier and made my easier to hear. "Why don't you sit with us and have something to eat. It's on me if Tanya doesn't want to pay. My friend and Tanya are old acquaintances but I'm afraid I feel like something of a third wheel." I held out a hand. "I'm Mammon by the way."
Sally blushed. "Like...the demon prince of greed?" Her eyes widened at my chuckle. "I mean...of course not, it's just a name I'm sure. Not that it wouldn't be ok if it wasn't. I'd love to meet a demon prince. Not that I don't like meeting you now even if you're not...oh goddess please kill me and stop me from talking?" She said helplessly as she trailed off from her babble, taking my hand for a quick shake.
I pulled her down into the bench next to me with a squeak. "I'd be devastated to see such a beauty struck down. I don't mind your talking, feel free to ask what you like." She blushed harder, but I saw her face firm as she tried her best to be confident.
"Well, I'm Thorn." She said with force. Eyes locking with mine. "I work here part time while I work on my music." She blushed again. "I... I like the idea of singing my songs for eternity. There's something beautiful about the unchanging dark don't you think?"
Having spun plenty of dark edgy bullshit to get goth girls to drop their panties for me, I was able to smoothly reply. "But of course, eternity has a romance to us all. Who can resist the allure of forever. I think if any should be immortalized it would be a beauty such as you. I'm afraid vampirism is a path I must leave untrodden, however. I'm already on an eternal path as it is. No transformation needed."
Her eyes widened in awe. "Wait...you're already immortal? How? Or is that rude to ask. Are you a fae? I heard there were some of the fair folk in the city. I've always wanted to meet a fairy." I ruminated on the fact that I probably should have brought Magnus. She'd have loved him.
"Nothing so elegant I'm afraid." I said ruefully. "I'm somewhat less...refined. A descendant of dragons, and one who carries a powerful bloodline." I made it sound like I was being self-deprecating, but I was obviously humble bragging, dragons were fucking awesome. Sally clearly agreed because she looked like she'd just met her personal hero. I half expected her to whip her tits out and ask me to sign. Which I would have. She had a nice little set.
She leaned in closer, pupils dilating, and I focused on her. The vampiress had called over another server for us to order from, and I casually asked for a brandy before turning back to focus on my new potential conquest. Sally was a G-ranker already just from a latent talent. If I could wake that up before I claimed her I could rake in some serious points. Plus goth girls were good pussy. Those bitches were down to take a pounding.
Sadly, as much as I wanted to hook the little goth, I had to actually focus on my mission, so I shot her a smile to make sure she knew I was interested before turning to Tanya. "So." I said, ignoring the adorable pout on Sally, sorry we already had a Sally, Thorn's face. "We were hoping you could help us track down Mary Seward. Do you know her by any chance?"
Tanya grimaced. "Everyone sired by the master knows the Queen of Blood. She spent years by his side. I was unaware that ancient bitch was in town. I'll have to go to ground for a while."
Nightwing sighed. "So no chance you have an address for us then. What about her personality? Do you know what kind of place she's most likely to hole up in? Some kind of architectural preference? Anything you can remember might help." Despite saying so, his voice lacked any real hope.
To our surprise, Tanya nodded. "She has a fondness for water. Not being in it of course, that's uncomfortable even for someone like her. But the sight of it. The scent. She'll usually try to find something coastal when she can. She would yammer on for days about the sea when she was at court. Apparently her old lover, Andrew, lived on the ocean. It was one of the few bits of nostalgia that she allowed herself, or so she claimed."
That...might help. Magnus needed some way to track her, and getting close should help. The coast of Brightedge wasn't small, but it was a pretty tiny percentage of the whole city at least. I could work with that. Not that I planned to leave it at that. I'd still try to narrow it down a bit more.
Nightwing wasn't done either. He continued to quiz her on bits of seeming trivia, trying to string together some facts. I left him to his questioning and turned back to face Thorn. "Sorry. Important things going on. Tell me a bit more about yourself Thorn."
I had promised Zee she could research some of the results of my merges. I was sure that she could use another assistant. Jinx couldn't do everything. Plus I was betting pretty little Thorn would be thrilled to meet my sorceress. She seemed like the type to cream her panties over being introduced to magic. So I planned how to set that up as I listened to her talk. Speaking of, I hadn't fucked Zee in a while, and I bet it would be hot for Thorn to overhear my sorceress at her 'fuck me if you dare dastardly villain' finest. She might also have some info on vampires. I guessed my next destination was Shadowcrest. I'm so good at multitasking.
