This game is kind of hard to write about. Unlike a lot of games where I can sort of talk around major spoilers, The Outer Wilds is a game about learning about the game. So the more I tell you about the game, the less of the game there is to actually play. It's... it's a conundrum.

So in the interest of covering the game for both people who have and who have not played it, I went ahead and split my script in half (which made more sense than just telling most of the audience to leave halfway through). That way there's a section that's light on spoilers (or at least as light on spoilers as I can be in a 10 minute video talking about what the game is) and then we can do a good ol' thematic deep dive next time. And I'm looking forward to that! It'll be fun! But for now, enjoy this 10 minute break down of what The Outer Wilds is and why I'd recommend playing it.

Oh, and the next Blips episode is already written and has most of the needed footage captured for it. I'm hoping to put that together this weekend and have it for you all early in the week next week with a full-on release before the July 4th holiday. Content all around!

Edit: The first version of this that went up called the Hearthian sitting by the fire a "guy" and used male pronouns - which is wrong, because Hearthians are very explicitly genderless and use they/them pronouns! This was a bad oversight on my part, and the post now points to a corrected video. Thanks Sumaleth for pointing this out to me!
