Finally ready for earth effects!

My friends, in the end, I combined that realistic and stylistic style on this model. Not just with the basic painting effects such as post-shading, but also with the main body of the tank and its armament. The side-mounted guns are really cool and full of details, so I picked them all out with different textures and shading. Basically, the same way a Warhammer miniature would be painted, but then I gave them some rust effects here and there.

Some of these surfaces give the model a very exciting contrast, such as the polished parts of the main cannons or the brass shells coming from the ammo drums.

I also treated the chipping and exhaust with rust-colored oil paints and once again arrived at that dreadful spot where I'm satisfied enough with the result that if it were for me, I wouldn't add any earth effects or additional weathering :D

But, of course, the rusty yet clean tracks would look out of place, so I'll have to find some balance between the dirt and what we already have on the model.

Wish me luck!

I know that feeling were you finish a stage and are happy with the results, but you know your not finished. You have so much fear that the next part will take away or even ruin your work. It is here I sometimes take time to carefully plan the next move. Best of luck.

this reminds me of the tank from a game i used to play, starfox

The flame cut marks & welds you added look right at home on this. Love it!

Crazy effects on this. Seen you do these countless times and it never ceases to amaze me but to turn something of pure fantasy into something based in reality is simply fantastic. Well done sir. Impressive stuff.

Maybe it's just me, but with all those awesome rust effects, it's starting to show some kinship with the pancake loco! With some heavy earth effects, it might start looking abandoned (maybe that's what you're going for?).

I have to compliment you and I have to tell you that the mufflers are “fantastic”

Great paint job ,love the chipping and rust effects.

The yellow base color works so well with those rust tones. This feels like a build upon the rail car piece with all of the beautiful rust effects. I'd love to see more details on the layering method you use for creating those realistic chipping and rust effects. Well done!

This cold yellow hits home base. Great contrast, but well balanced at the same time. Came, saw and conquered Warhammer, I guess!

I was not enthusiastic with this model, but I changed my mind!

Looking great Uncle! Question - when you make rivets what type and size of foil do you use? Would love to try adding some rivets to my Warhammer stuff.

Mostly do armour with figures which have really come into their own, nice to see you tackle something a little different here. Looking forward to associated video of course!

Really cool project sir. Almost makes me want to do one of these. I don’t have one so I would need to buy one and that does not decrease the stash I have 😎

Bob Yack

Looks like it has been a fun project without the usual historic boundries. Good luck!

Dan Hill

This is great!

So cool, Martin!

Can’t wait for the video on this to be released. I paint 40K and stumbled on your channel a month or so ago and it’s been invaluable.
