My friends, thank you so much for all the references you’ve sent me!
The Sherman sure is an interesting subject for welding. Some shapes are quite exotic, and the thickness of some welds and their texture resemble the heaviest Soviet tanks 😁
My first session was done with a mixture of Green Stuff and Tamiya Epoxy Quick Type - the yellowish welds. But my Tamiya putty is old and almost completely dried out. It’s not fun mixing it together anymore, so I did the rest with Green Stuff. Tamiya welds are IMO sharper and crispier, so I’ll need to order a new pack soon.
Of course, more welds will come around some of the smaller details once I glue them in place, and the turret will have a few of them as well.
Next up: running gear and hull details!
Thanks again!
