My friends, everything is in place and ready for weathering! But I’d like to keep the earth tones quite subtle on this one because the paint job looks just right to my eye. Also, the truck will be parked on a cobblestone road, and a muddy finish would look quite out of place!
As for this update, it was quite fun. The drums are mostly weathered with acrylics, and as I found out, acrylics are perfect for long, thin, controlled streaking effects!
The flour sacks were more difficult, but I’ll probably adjust their contrast a little with dust tones, and there will be some flour on the flatbed, too 😁
I documented most of these techniques for the video because showing how I painted the interior and the exterior alone would be quite repetitive.
Also, the rear view mirror was punched from self-adhesive chrome foil.
Dusty times ahead!
