My friends, the unimaginable has happened. Instead of painting two figures for an entire week, I managed to finish them in one day (and one extra evening)!
So the commander's leather jacket was painted using the good old drybrushing method, just like those suitcases. A few extra controlled highlights were required, but it was fairly simple. The rest was done using my standard pre-shading and glazing method.
These were a blast to paint, especially the loader in his green uniform. Each figure took 6-7 hours to paint, which is a huge achievement all on itself! I feel like a figure painter! 🤣
PS: At first, I didn't know what kind of uniform was the commander wearing. It was only after I googled the figure from Panzer Art when I noticed it's called "Soviet tanker with a captured jacket" or something along those lines when it all clicked together :D
Anyway, tomorrow I'm leaving for my best friend's bachelor party, and this whole week was basically about trying to paint everything with acrylic paints so I can make a video out of it and then proceed with enamels and oils. So... see you all on Monday, hopefully!
