So I managed the unmanageable

My friends, today I imported all video files on my computer and was shocked that all the footage capturing HOURS of work on pin washes, rivet popping and terrain painting was kinda... eh. Simply not enough interesting stuff for one video! But what should I do more that would add more valuable content? Something that can be managed in one day? The only logical thing that I should to next is chipping... so what now? Well... let's do it in one day!

That's right. I mean, it's not perfect, but here are a few interesting things. First off, I imagined this tank would probably not be in action for months, but who knows, right? Second... I had a hunch that using a sponge would make the process actually manageable. So I combined sponge chipping and speckling with acrylic paints for the first light layer, but also the second steel layer! This was then refined with a paintbrush. Mostly just connecting a few wandering chips and outlining the worn edges.

Focusing on the most exposed areas also helped a lot. I started with the rails for the unditching log and went from there. Lastly, some heavily worn areas were coated in grey and given a quick enamel rust wash - the same thing that awaits the remaining chipping effects, and more! Rust streaks, grimy streaking effects, etc. But that's a story for another video! :)
