My friends, there's a moment when things are just done and any extra work or effort to improve them would be detrimental. Yup, this is the case!
But let me talk about a small detail which drove me nuts. All it takes is one weirdly sculpted or positioned hand.... The left fist on the guy with the blue collar gave me nightmares. I spent about 4 hours constantly repainting it, yet it constantly looked weird. It's probably the unusual position of the hand or something... it's strange because the other hand was smooth sailing! I almost lost my mind because of it, lol. After finally calling it done, not perfect, I'm still not happy with it. But let's be honest, the shape doesn't look quite right, does it? And it looks kinda odd in the box art pictures as well. What's the lesson here? Take a closer look even at top tier figures because you never know what odd surprise might await you!
Luckily he's going to be turned kinda sideways, so the hand will look mostly okay from the diorama's main viewing angle. I even considered masking it with a handkerchief or something, but damn, figures ain't tanks, a strategically placed tarp won't solve all your problems π
So yeah, these gents leave a lot to be desired, but I think there were a few lessons learned... and that's the way to become a better painter, at least I hope it is! π
And now after I make a video about them, I can finally put the whole diorama together!
