And we're ready for paints

Mah frens, after much deliberation I decided this is gonna be good enough. I added the fuel lines, some wires and cables here and there, and a bunch of missing bolts punched from pewter foil.

Stowage is completely 3D printed, because as you might've noticed, accessories in 1/48th scale are quite scarce! It's all stuff which is available for free on Thingiverse. Except that one blanket on the front mudguard which comes from Eureka XXL, although it's not in the same scale, but who would notice, right? 😁

Tarps are made completely from Tamiya epoxy putty on this one, because I've always had some leftovers after doing other putty work, so instead of throwing them away I rolled them into tarps 😁

Lastly, headlight cages on T-55s are one thing, but a whole other problem are fuel lines, especially those connecting parts. I've seen people doing them from thin rubber tubes or Tamiya tape. Or just ignoring them altogether. Well, I was lazy to make them like that so instead I made a 3D model which is much more detailed!

So now we're off to the sink and then painting booth.

Almost exactly like that, except the stretched sprue. I simply textured the already existing welds in the kit which have no texture, but at least they're there :)

Night Shift

It's Tamiya, it's supposed to go fast 😁

Night Shift

Looks Awesome. How specifically did you do the welds/flame cut edges where the sides and upper hull meet? My guess is that you did the flame cut edge with a blade then used stretched sprue for the welds?

AK Armor

Yooo so fast!
