My friends, the foundation is there! I got all uniforms painted including some details. The most difficult part was definitely the insignia... I still get shivers when I think about it! Especially when it varies from sculpt to sculpt, for example the GI has his rank pretty messed up on the raised arm - unfortunately there's not much I could do there.
As for the painting process... what can I say, you can look at them from left to right and see how I kept adding more and more contrast with each figure. Now I feel like I should definitely come back to the tank commander and add some more lights and shadows!
There's a huge looming presence in the back of my mind, and that's of course the skin tones! So I think the next step will be exactly that, otherwise we won't know if this is gonna be a big win or epic fail š
Fun fact for the day: all shadows were mixed from a base color used for that specific piece of clothing and Burnt Umber from AK 3rd gen. And all lights were done by adding Iraqi Sand, except the GI's jacket which was painted with Light Mud and thus had to be lightened with Deck Tan.
