Patreon, and it's 'enshittification'

Hello good fellows, ye who art subscribed to mine and others' Patreon and ye few who art not subscribed but follow me here nonetheless.

You might have noticed the little UI changes that have happened here and there. Now the whole bloody thing looks like a mobile app even on PC. Unfortunately, we're in the modern age, an era wherein every social media wants to go Musk-side and enshittify itself for some Brassica Prima-damned reason (the UI is glitching out and constantly changing fonts for some reason while writing this, it didn't to it before this update, excuse me if this causes typos as my brain tries to comprehend the flashing text). I've heard that the chronological timeline has been removed for Patrons as well, being replaced with a normal social media-style feed, which I don't get, but I'm also not a multimillion dollar tech company making bad decisions so maybe I shouldn't think about these things too much.

Ahem, enough of me ranting about UI design, let's get to what I was trying to get to. There isn't really any alternative to Patreon, for me anyways. Ko-Fi is one, but it requires Paypal or Stripe; two things that I don't actually have access to in my region (because screw anyone living in a third world country, we don't deserve to earn anything).

I'll be staying on Patreon for now, but I plan on jumping ship whenever a less enshittified opponent pops out of the aether (or wherever online services come from). Thank you so much for your continued support, and I hope we'll be out of this hellsite in due time. May Brassicus Prime bless all of ye with a good cabbage harvest, and may Brassicus Prime damn all the tech CEOs on top making UIs shittier with every year.

Here's the reply I received from Patreon support, copy-pasted exactly without changing any words: "Hi there, Thank you for reaching out to our Product Support team. I know that changes take some getting used to, and we appreciate you sharing your feedback. I have recorded and shared your feedback with the team working on these updates. Due to higher than normal requests, I won't be able to follow up with you on the matter, but do know I have your feedback. Your voice is vital in helping create a great platform for all creators and members, and I truly value the time you took to submit your feedback." My voice is valuable, apparently lol

I'm sure they just haven't gotten around to properly ruining the mobile site yet, give them time!

Ironic that the mobile website is stiil desktop-like while the desktop site is now mobile-like. I blame Elon Musk for having caused mass brainrot in the tech sector. I don't have definite proof, but other sites (like Reddit and now Patreon) seem to be following his hallow example in enshittifying their sites.

At least on mobile it seems to have a chronological timeline still, even if it's moaning about me not using their probably bloatware app. In any case, I'm really loving how every site I use has decided to run itself into the ground in the same year.
