Bling continues

Hello my friends! This week we're working over the weekend as well 😊

I haven't done a single thing on Thursday, because I spent the entire day filming and editing a quick video which will come out next week. I've been postponing it because I wanted to start building the JT right after the Crusader was done, so it was done in the last moment.

But now being back on track, the JT is almost done - all the PE is in place, I just spent like 2 hours trying to attach the tow cables exactly like they were on the real thing (of course, I wasn't able to recreate each bend in the cable with 100% accuracy, but they were there like this more or less)... It won't be fun to paint and weather the sides with towing ropes attached, but it's the best way if we're trying to match the real vehicle - having it unpainted gives us a lot more room to manipulate them into correct shape and position. I wanted to conclude this night with gun cleaning rods, but figured it'll be better to do that tomorrow, rested and everything. It's been raining here for a few days now, so plenty of time for modelling!

And of course, as you already guessed, the new, correct Friulmodel tracks have arrived, just in time!!! 😁

Also, I'm kind of beat right now, so I'll head straight to bed and get back to you in the morning. Until then, enjoy your weekend!!

Now don't get the wrong impression Harold 😁 All the stuff you see reworked is in the kit - I just wanted to use PE because I wanted most of the tools missing, and of course other small things which make it look more "custom" compared to a quick out of the box build. But this kit specifically, except the badly fitting front plate, is spot on in terms of details (although it needs more clean-up than we're used to with modern kits)

Fascinating, how much detail is missing from the initial kit out of the box, and then you start consulting reference material and such, and realize how much detail gets added through aftermarket products and scratch building. Totally incredible! Well done!👍

Almost done! :)

Night Shift

Now, that's sexy! 😍
