Hello friends, so I already started adding dust on the model. Now this was, or seemed like the most intimidating task for me, because I didn't want to hide all the previous effects. My goal is to make it look dusty so it obviously won't look out of place on the base, but at the same time I want to keep it subtle so it won't be overwhelming.
Well, I spent a lot of time thinking what mediums to use and how to approach this task. I ended up going completely with enamels from Ammo and what a great choice it was! They have very faint texture, which I already praised several times, they can be diluted down because straight from the bottle they're rather thick, and they're very easy to control and blend. The entire process is so straightforward I wanted to do the entire model tonight π But I'm waking up early tomorrow for another big all-day ride, and I also didn't want to rush things and possibly mess something up, so I just did one side as a sort of practice run.
I also added some loose dirt as a sort of roadmap which would tell me where most dust will be concentrated, and funny thing here - guess where that jar of dirt comes from? Tunisia! Exactly where this tank operated π I've been collecting dirt from different countries since I was a kid and only today I remembered that I have it lol!
Anyway, that'll be it for today, I might do more tomorrow if I still have some energy left, but I'm not sure. So hey, have a great weekend everyone!
