Hey friends, something arrived today, but it's only a part of what I need!
It's strange how I'm constantly getting in the mood for a certain type of armor... First the Rutscher + Tiger, now Crusader and Valentine 😆
But anyway, the point is that I decided to finally build a specific tank I had in my inspiration folder for the longest time. The photo was actually sent to me by Adam Wilder.
The BW photo shows a mangled Valentine Mk IX of the Red Army somewhere in Lithuania (? I think) during 1943. Now why did I buy a Tamiya Mk II/IV? Well, because the photoetched fenders and details from Voyager (which are on the way as well) are designed for this kit and there's no guarantee they'd fit another brand. Luckily, after some research, I realized the hulls are the same across all versions, with only small differences on fenders like a huge fuel drum on the Mk IX.
So, I'll be using the Tamiya hull and pairing it with Bronco's Mk IX turret, this kit is also on the way 😊
I don't know, is this gonna be the possible next project? Maybe, because I'm very pumped about it... finally some PE fenders, some nice battle damage, stowage (Eureka XXL is sending me some resin tarps, bedrolls and wooden crates)... it sounds like a huge pile of fun!!!
