New toys
Added 2020-07-21 19:45:08 +0000 UTCHey friends, these new toys arrived today! The static grass applicator (can't wait to give it a shot, hope it won't give me a shot in return π) and a beautiful new rotating display.
The old one which you've seen on the channel pretty much since the beginning was a cheap 10$ one from eBay and it had a very weak motor, which means it couldn't carry heavier models. For example, it really struggled with the Tiger even though it's not the heaviest model ever. Overall its movement was very jittery and it looked awful.
This one can be powered by batteries, but since it comes with USB cord I don't have a reason to use them. It has 2 speeds but most importantly its rotation is buttery smooth, just shot the final Crusader shots on it and it's gonna be π₯It also has no problems with heavier loads, so now I can even finish that T95 with 4 Friulmodel tracks π
Speaking of Crusader shots, it's 21:43 right now and I'm just about to start compiling a 23 minute video π© Wish me luck! I'll get back to y'all in the morning if that's alright, gonna start editing right now so the video is ready to export before I go to bed.

2020-07-22 13:16:06 +0000 UTCYou are going to love that little static grass applicator. So many different kinds and colours of 'grass' available. It's a lot of fun mixing 2-8mm long materials of different colours and lengths to custom make your turf. Plus you can add in small amounts of other scatter materials too to jazz up the mix. Then just a tiny bit of thin paints sprayed to tweak the final look. Have fun and it will be great to see what you come up with.
