Damn, stowage ain't easy

Hey friends, what a lovely weekend trying to figure out how to do stowage!

I sat myself at the workbench last night thinking "alright, give it a two hours and it'll be finished" and by the end of those 2 hours I was only starting to get an idea where to place stuff 😫

Not sure what's the cause of this mental block, I think it might be just plain old lack of long term experience with this stuff.

I had several photos of the real thing in front of me, but trying to compile them into this result just needed a lot of thinking. At the end of the day I'm happy with the result, I think it's not too much nor too little.

Flimsies on the front plate are kept removable for easier painting, same with the Hawkins grenade box on the front fender. Everything else is glued in place.

To summarize: all 3D printed, 2 tarps made from paper, and one Magic Sculpt sandbag.

And now for the video!

I need to order a few sets from AliExpress... those that are fat at the base, but the drill bit itself is thin... if you know which ones I mean :) They're much harder to snap and also fit more easily into a pin vice.

My 0.3mm bit is certainly my go-to workhorse option! I snapped it the other day. I have some extras that are bigger and some that are smaller... But a replacement just got bumped to the top of my hobby shopping list when I get a chance 😭

They're not easy to paint when they have no wrinkles and surface detail, maybe oil paints will be easier to use this time?

Stowage looks good to me. Will be interested to see what you do with the sandbags. I just made some out of air drying clay. They look good but painting them is hard to get the right.
