Ready for stowage

Turns out there wasn't that much work left yesterday, just a couple of lead wires and several missing rivets and bolts. The only more complicated detail were those copper L profiles under the air filters, which felt like a throwback to a time when I used to scratchbuild half of the model from copper πŸ˜‚

Hopefully I'll finish it today with stowage, but I'm not 100% sure because the weather is better today and I'll go for a ride, we'll see!

You're building the same one in 1/35 scale? :) They were all bent over a simple jig. Just a strip of roughly 0.8mm thick styrene cut into width of the handle, glued to another styrene sheet. I just placed the wire on top of it, and pushed down with a pair of tweezers on both ends. Removed the excess and squashed the ends in flat jawed pliers. Just a slight squeeze is enough, and the wire won't really allow you to squash it any further, so it was pretty easy to get consistent results. It'll be all shown in more detail in the video :)

Hey! I am loving this build so far. You're inspiring me to make my next build smaller than 1/35. Im really struggling to make scratch built handles for mine in 1/35 😬 How do you bend them so accurately? And how do you make the ends look 'squashed' so uniformly?
