so I got the shell impacts painted, the last thing they're missing is some polishing with graphite, but that needs to be done after the weathering as enamel thinner would dissolve the graphite.
I also started painting all the details and... I don't know if it's the pandemic outside, or just the sheer amount of different paints one has to use in order to paint all those tiny bastards, but... I dunno, I just feel slow, like I really need to force myself to grab a bottle of this or that because those things ain't gonna paint themselves... weird...
BUT... nonetheless... tomorrow is a new day and I'll get the rest done... full of energy and motivation, I'm sure it'll be a breeze 😆
P.S. The gun cleaning rod ends should be made from brass, but since I don't have a good brass paint, I cheated and painted them steel. I found some pics of 7,5cm gun brushes which have steel ends, so at least it's not complete fantasy. I still have to paint the wooden sections, but I had no energy for that tonight.
P.P.S. got 2 semi-failed prints today, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. The worst thing when a print fails is the wasted time. Ugh 😑

2020-03-19 23:52:56 +0000 UTCIt's a crowbar 😄 Usual technique, light grey base and 2 rust tones blended on top of it. How dark or light the grey base is determines the appearance of the whole thing, and I'm starting to like the lighter version a lot more. Yeah the decals arrived a few weeks ago, turns out they're not very good because they're too large for 1/35 extinguishers, I had to cut one small placard off just to make it fit.
