Late night update

So, the turret is almost done - I still need to make some final adjustments on the loader's hatch - carve the extended hinges into shape and add pivots on their sides.

Also the rear of the hull is almost done. Let me tell you assembling those exhausts was a  nightmare. I considered just giving up several times on those "caps" on top, but after about 3 or 4 attempts I found a way to align them with the muffler. Glad it mostly worked out (still had to bend 1 support rod to make it fit) because without them it would've looked just odd. Also the exhausts and their armored covers are removable for easier painting.

The PE details were pretty fun to assemble, and this tank will be mostly without onboard tools, which gives us the opportunity to get a little creative... some clamps can be left "open" or just hanging loose, slightly bent etc.

This specific Tiger had only 1 fender on the left rear side, but I'll add it as the last detail cuz I can already see myself breaking it off multiple times.

I think this model is asking for the obligatory cliché bucket-hanging-on-the-back-of-the-tank, would be cool to let it hang from one of the empty jack clamps.

Anyway, I think tomorrow I'll get the turret and the back plate done and move on to the engine deck!

Night Shift

This is looking so good. I need to look back through posts on how your doing the grey texture to get the metal look. I need to replicate something like this on the current tank project Im working on and some impact hit marks.
