Weekend update

Here's an easy way to spend over 200€ in one day :D

So, this is what I've brought from the model show yesterday. There were some paints, tools and other things but this is the tasty stuff :)

And, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

As you can see, I bought the new Jagdtiger from Takom and couldn't resist to get a set of metal tracks as well. Now the kit looks really sweet and I'm thinking if I should buy a set of photo etched details or build it out of the box... I'll build it as the X7 or Y vehicle from Germany 1945. If I get the PE set, I could build it just like in the photos, with missing tools etc. If not, it would be slightly more generic but could be a nice OOTB project. I dunno. I always try to make the best out of every kit because there's a small chance I'll build it ever again, so, what are your thoughts on this? I'm also very stoked about this model, so it's quite possible I'll build it very soon.

Crusader is the one we discussed here earlier. If nothing changes, it'll be khaki green with a heavy coat of dust. I also have a small PE set for it.

I promised a modern vehicle, so there it is, an Abrams. Also with a PE set. I'm 99% sure I'll paint it in NATO camouflage, again with heavy coat of dust and mud. Possibly even some snow. Not sure if I want to buy a stowage set for it, on one hand these tanks have always some stowage in their baskets, on the other, I don't feel like doing something like that at the moment... not sure.

KV-2, well that one was a bit random, I just thought building a KV from Tamiya in 48 scale would be a nice experience cuz I always built KV tanks from Hobby Boss. I also have PE grills, fenders and storage boxes for it. No idea how that one will look... probably a mixture of different tanks from photos so I can use the full potential of those metal fenders and boxes. Possibly a few small shell impacts as well. Dunno if it'll be just green or covered in winter camo, because at some point I'd love to build the earlier "big turret" variant in 35th scale and that one can be only built in plain 4BO camo, so having 2 almost same looking models would be pointless. This model reminded me how buying model first and then looking for inspiration doesn't work (for me). I always feel better if I get inspired by a real photo and buy the model afterwards.

Anyway, that's it. Oh and I didn't film my trip, I felt super awkward :D

Hope you had a great weekend!

It's definitely on my to-do list, but right now I want to make a few "colorful" models that won't be just plain green military color. I already have a very nice idea in mind, if you google search KV-2 Essen Germany you'll see what I mean :)

Night Shift

Seems there is some people interested in the KV2. I've seen historically it existed a german modified version of captured KV2, might be a nice way to make construction less boring. I'd really like you make the KV2, any chance you will start this project sometimes? :)

I see you bought a KV2 model kit. Do you plan to build it soon?
