Entertainingly the "Dutch" or "German" angle, whilst very popular in German Expressionist cinema, has its first recorded use in a 1906 American film "Dream of a Rarebit Fiend" based on a comic strip that also used similar angles. To think, even in 1906 people were adapting comics to film!
I actually think while it is heavily used here, I rather like it.

The bloopers of the faceless Rose scene SEND ME XD David had to look at Billie who had crosses drawn on her face with a straight face and he just could NOT do it XD It had so many takes XD
