Mr Crane didn't grow a conscience, he's still evil. He just wanted revenge since Lumic tried to convert him, which I assume the agreement was he wouldn't be converted.

I never disliked it but it also didn't leave too much of an impression on me besides Mickey's growth. After hearing your thoughts I definitely have a much bigger appreciation for this episode and realize I missed a lot of the subtle things

There's a scene with Mickey and Jake at the end that was edited down for the final. Someone uploaded the full scene in YouTube: https://youtu.be/i3MzNvT5q6E?si=_UUjBW9Cq5QmEZqA perhaps that weird editing at 16:25 had something similar but no cut footage has been released that I can find so I can't know for sure what was left out but I wouldn't be surprised if it was more Ricky/Jake stuff
