Just received my comp copies for the variant cover I did for the new comic Time Waits from publisher Dstlry, created by co-writers Chip Zdarsky & David Brothers and artist Marcus To; interestingly, the variant cover is available in both B&W and color versions, judging by my comps.
Here's the color version, which I hadn't shown you before (IIRC):
The colorist was apparently Matt Wilson, though I suspect that credit might apply only to the issue's interior colors.
Here's the also-available B&W version:
When I received my comp copies, I was mildly surprised to see that the issue was formatted in big, bold & brassy magazine size (8.5" X 10.8"), rather than the smaller conventional comic format. Nice!
Working backward, here's the piece's underdrawing:

Note the many appearances by a photogenic semi-auto pistol, the CZ P10C, which was handy to reference (if you catch my drift) and represents possibly the first time I've drawn a real-world gun since, jeez, the end of Empowered vol. 11 in which Thugboy's tough-to-draw Ruger P89 thankfully bounced off a rooftop and disappeared forever.
Finally, the cover's initial rough:

Anyhoo, back to Scrivener to whittle away at my script for The Chaste and the Chained issue #2, folks!
NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: No idea, TBH, but something should be coming up in the next M/W/F slot. Let's find out together, shall we?
